Not a chance, would be nice but no way not after 3 ligament tears. They don't heal overnight, plus they have to be restrengthened and McGahee has to believe he can cut again otherwise it is worthless.

If his knee has strengthened by week 10 or 11 I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a change of pace!

But I heard you have been training EB.

Even if his knee is healed, I don't think December is a good time to start playing him anyways. He could slip in the snow and do some more damage.

no

Absolutely not! That's ridiculous! Frankly, I don't see how he's even going to be an asset to the Bills when he finally is ready to play. Which for sure won't be until 2004. Knee injuries are tricky and they're easily reinjured. He'll be playing in extreme weather conditions and he's still a rookie. And, regardless of how great he was in college, the NFL is a different story. I still think choosing him for the first round draft pick was a total waste. He's a rookie - unproven in the NFL and he's injured. I would be surprised if he actually made something of himself in the NFL.

I dont see him ready till mid season and that might be to soon but then he has to know the system when the playoffs come around I wouldn't mind seeing him just for a change of pace. but there no chance that he is ready as of right now.

I didn't know the HULK had healing powers.

Wow.

PS: guys I know he isn't ready now. Rosenhaus is full of crap.

Nope. Late November/early December is a possibility, but the Bills would not make him anything close to a workhorse even then.

He may be ready next month but we're not playing him until later and it won't be as a workhorse. I'm not in the medical field and the only knee injury I've seen up close was my fiancee's. It wasn't nearly as bad as McG's. She tore a meniscus (sp?) and did some other damage but did not tear 3 ligaments. She started running exactly 1 month after surgery and less than a year later she finished a marathon. But, that's exactly what the doctor told us at surgery. Now, from what the supposed doctors are saying about McGahee, it'll be October before he's able to practice or he's ready now....who really knows besides the doctor that actually works with him on a regular basis? I say keep him off the field just in case regardless of how he feels.

Absolutely!

Why, which board game were you thinking about? I might be able to take him in Trivial Pursuit. . .

I truly believe that the Bills, really need to keep a close eye on McGhaee's knee. No matter how healthy he is I believe the Bills really need to keep him off the playing field. Can the Bills place him on the practice squad with out affecting his contract? Even with the medical advances today it will probably be at least another year before his knee is close to 100%

It's not just the knee, but all of the surrounding muscles must get strong enough to protect it. I say we leave it to the medical people - when they say he's ready, he plays.

He's an investment thats gonna pay off in the long run .... why jeopardize his future now when we've got healthy capable RBs on the roster?
