Today was another good day for football. It was a slower practice, but still hard hitting as the players wore the shoulder pads. They worked on the 7-on-7, 11-on-11, Redzone offense, special teams kickoff returns, punting, and even some drills with the offensive linemen against the defensive linemen. There were some nice plays, and eye openers, but it was pretty much a normal day of Bills practice.
Drew Bledsoe looked good and had sharp precise passes. He found Eric Moulds and Josh Reed many times. Bledsoe also connected with TE Mark Campbell a few times, as Dave Moore continued to sit out. They even had Drew Bledsoe work with the 2nd and 3rd team WR's and RBs at the end of practice. Alex Van Pelt had some good passes, but he also had a couple wobbly passes too. One of the plays that stuck out to me was when he hit Sammy Morris right in the numbers. Morris took it and ran down the field for a gain of 12. Travis Brown actually connected on some passes. However, one of them was to a cornerback. Brown overthrew Andre Rone badly. He seemed to do better when he didn't go deep. I gotta wonder if he only does good in a West Coast offense. When he threw the short passes and screens, they were successful. However, when he tried going deep, he couldn't connect and had problems.
