Despite a wondrous final seven games, William Green was only the 20th-best runner in the AFC last year - and 44th overall - on third-and-1 rushing. He made the first down five of 10 times.
Thus, when Green failed on the very first third-and-1 carry of the preseason in Tennessee, it looked all too familiar. But it wasn't.
