Preseason games are for evaluation.
As I pounded out this column on a laptop computer, approximately 2,174 professional football players representing the Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans had been on the field.
All of them hoped to be the next big thing.
Coaches become obsessed in trying to determine their likes and dislikes. They want to see how their starting lineups perform. They want to see how the backups mesh. They want to see anything and everything....
