Ravens QB Chris Redman did what Colts QB Peyton Manning wanted to do. He wore the black high-top cleats to honor the late Johnny Unitas. Now the NFL is getting ready to slap a $5,000 fine on him. I say that the Ravens organization pay the fine for him. The NFL was so stupid to do the banning from Manning and Manning should have done it anyways just to spite the NFL! :grind:

It's amazing how well the league has done over the years despite the idiots in the corporate offices in New York.

That is a crappy thing for the league to do.

Thanks mike!!! ;) I like both of your new pics. The "You are next
Griese" is great!!!!!! :punk:

At times the league tends to be overly strict. It takes away from the fun and history of the game.

As much as it is a nice tribute to the late Unitas, I see the NFL's point. If they bend on this case, they would have to bend on other "tributes." Soon you would have players doing whatever they please with their unis.

Somebody ought to put up a website. I'm sure that 5,000 fans would kick in a buck apiece to help Redmon out!

I must agree. Things could get way out of hand.

You're joking right wys? There is no such thing as a NFL player who needs help with $5,000. Unless he is a crack head, this I could understand.:chuckle:

Yeah...I'm sure he's got a multi-million dollar contract...he can use the write off.

Now back to that web site idea....I've gotten a few unfair fines in my life and I ain't no millionaire, how about creating a "Dollar 4 the Cause" web site for me. :D

I realize that! Oy...

I would think it's just a slap in the face to the NFL.

If they weren't so strict, we would have players wearing painted on ads for online casinos like some boxers do.

The NFL had the sense to ban the gay RJ headbands.
