    On the penalty issue!

Did you know that only 6 of the 16 were committed in the first half when our starters were in the game!

And of those 6 for 93 yards, one was committed by Reese, a backup for 48 yards.

Which brings it down to 5 penalties for 35 yards!

Indeed! Throw out the top 5 penalties and we're goin' to the superbowl. Then and only then will I be satisfied.

    BTW, buy more sauce.

Still too many. How many of those were false starts and off sides?

Well yeah it's too many, but it's nothing to jump off a cliff over.

There was one drive-killing hold with the first Team. I clearly remember, "Holding, #70 on the Offense. Ten yard penalty, repeat the Down."
Still searching for that offensive rhythm.

I agree.........double the starters penalties and we still would have had 10. Even 5 yarders are drive killers. It's not good when you are happy if your team commits only 10 penalties

              Some were pretty big penalties:

Nobody said they were happy, but people have been throwing around that 16 number and it's not even close.

Ah and some people keep saying "it's preseason, it doesn't matter." It does when the team looks sloppy.

We should also take away a couple and just count them as Rubin's regular "False Start, Offense, #79, 5 yard penalty, repeat # down."

Ruben's consistent, gotta give him that. I wonder if it's not part of some strategy he's using?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. I swear to god, it's every single game. I don't even get mad any more, I'm just happy when he gets it out of the way.
