EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (Aug. 23, 2003) -- New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington injured his left wrist in the second quarter against the New York Giants.

Pennington was tackled by Brandon Short after throwing away a pass with just under two minutes remaining in the half and landed awkwardly on his wrist. Doctors rushed to the field and wrapped a towel around his non-throwing hand.

It's non throwing though, right? If he can handle a snap, why won't he play?

He can't get the exchange from the center or go into the shotgun formation!

I hate to see starters go down in preseason :( I want to see the best possible players on the field for everyone.

I hear ya, I always want to beat a team's best. Then you know you've done something. This sucks. Vinny's back. I remember Herman saying he wanted to find a way to get Vinny those 444 yards he needs to get pass 40,000. Well I guess there won't be a problem now. Did anyone noticed that the Jets won any way? Hmmmmm

You cant beat us with our best fins fan. Owwwww my toe hurts. It would be a real disaster if Dumbo sprained and ear. I hear Lucas is still out there though.

Pennington was really coming into his own. That is too bad for the Jets. I really hate seeing teams lose players to injuries.

I wonder if the fins beat the Jets they will say they won the game because Pennington was hurt the same way they blame their injuries on their losses a opposed to being outplayed in other facets of the game as well as coaching.

Maybe the Jets will pick up Ray Lucas. :snicker:

Imagine how much a dislocated wrist must hurt. :injured:

I like anything that makes the Bills more likely to win.

Really Colin! I know jets, fins, pats fans would not feel bad for us if one of our stars got hurt so I don't feel sorry for them.

EXACTLY! IF Moulds or Henry were to ever go down (knock on wood)...The Dolphin fans and Patriot fans would be cheering and celebrating. I dont care what they say. They know they would.
