View Full Version : What do we do about the last pre-season game?

Usually the 3rd string quarterback plays MOST of the game and the starter only plays a few series. The backup plays a quarter. With Travis Brown out....what are we going to do? Grab another QB and play him in the game? Or let AVP play the whole game after Drew Bledsoe plays a series or two? What do you think?

I say, keep our starters out or just a few plays. Seriously, after what happened to Pennington and Vick I could care less if we lose 85-3 on our last game. I just want a healthy start for us on sept. 7th.

That's the plan...but does that mean we have AVP play the rest of the game? Almost 4 full quarters? Or do we bring in another QB to use?

I'm starting to think the same thing. :D

TD: Hey Jason...how are you, buddy? Remember when we let you go? Well, how would you like to come back for 1 game and 1 game only to show your stuff?

JJ: Kiss my ass! :moon:

That's true. Who do we put in? Brian Moorman? Who's the emergency QB? Anyone know?

Can we just forfeit the game

That's EXACTLY what I was wondering. I'd rather our starters take a week off and get ready to kick the **** out of Brady! :snicker:

And if Drew goes down (knock on wood), we're blessed...

Work on the running game and keep the passes short and fast. Problem solved part deux.

Have Drew call the coin flip, but for God's sake don't let him bend over to pick up the coin. He could rupture a disc or something.

Jason Johnson has been resigned...I would bet it is DB for 1 quarter, AVP for 1 quarter and Johnson for the rest of the game...isn't this how AVP rejoined the team a few years back??

smart move, let him play this week, and then put him on the ps.

Pretty much. We had RJ starting and Flutie hurt himself in practice in camp. Neither of the guys vying for #3 were looking any good so we got AVP back in camp a day before he was to put his house up for sale. He was on the golf course when he got the call...I believe he was with Kelly on the course.
