Orchard Park, NY - The Bills announced that the team has released the following five players:
Player Position College
Ahmad Brooks CB Texas
Tony Driver S Notre Dame
James Jett WR West Virginia
Richard Seals OG Utah
Ray Thomas TE Wake Forest
In other moves, the team placed tackle Gary Byrd on Injured Reserve (knee) and has re-signed rookie quarterback Jason Johnson.
NFL rosters must be reduced to 65 by 4:00 PM on Tuesday. The team’s roster currently stands at 70 players and includes one NFL Europe exemption (RB Ken Simonton).

No surprises. They brought back Johnson. Can Brown be gone?
I bet they are trying to protect Johnson so they can get him on the practice squad. Are there inactives for preseason games, or can they play as many of them as they want?

Probably brought back JJ to take up some time at thursdays game since TB has a bad finger.

He's gotten few reps in practice, and barely played in games. Plus several younger/cheaper guys have looked as good or better. It all adds up to :wave:

slaw(coleman) has out played jett. Shaw has outplayed Reed(Although i think reed will still get the starting nod). Aiken is a rookie who has done a whole lot of nothing. Brown is our return man. Johnson is hanging on, i dont know why. Moulds is liquid nasty. Rone and Wright are gonna get put on the PS or cut. and those are our WRs.

Drew shouldn't play more than a series, perhaps two if the first one's short. VP shouldn't play more than 2 Qs, hopefully less. We'll need someone.
The only one that I'd play all game is Adams to see if he can even move in the 2nd half or if he simply struggles to come up out of his stance in the 3rd and 4th Qs. I can see it now, all the OL will have to do is push him w/ their fingers and watch him topple over...!
Of course all that is predicated on whether he is even able to waddle onto the field at all at the start of the game.

Never really expected him to be around for the season. My uncle is a huge raiders fans, and i remember watching a bunch of Raiders games and even when he was in his prime he wasnt that good. If we would have kept him he would have been healthy this winter cuz the dude cant even catch a cold.
