I have no vote but I think Wys wins this trade. Basically all he is giving up is Owens. Bettis is done and Allstot only gets 1/2 his teams carries. Holt is not that far behind owens IMO, especially if Warner returns to form like he appears to have. Smith will be starting in Minny, and Jackson is a decent reciever.

If I may:

The centerpiece of this trade is obviously T. Owens! T. Owens for T. Holt straight up is just not going to happen. On a FF scale of 1-10 Owens is a (9.5) and Holt is a (7) IMO. So in order for Log to get Owens he has to give up a little more, D. Jackson (4), and O. Smith (?). For Wys, J. Bettis (2.5) and M. Alstott (1) are basically just garbage throw ins. Bettis would have been worth more if he was a starter, and Alstott is worthless!


The risk for LOG is O. Smith. This guy will be the starter for a potentially explosive Offensive football team. If Smith is for real and has a solid year, Log could lose this trade. However, if Smith is a bum, I’ll give the upper hand to LOG. I’d take Owens over Jackson and Holt any day!

That's what I was thinking. Smith has great upside but is risky because a) he's a rook and could struggle and b) Bennett could come back and c) Williams will get the TD's and might steal other carries if he does well.

But it could go the other way, too. I doubt it but TB could give Allstot another shot at being the featured guy, at least he'll get some goalline carries. And if Zereoue struggles or is hurt the Bus might roll again. You never know.

Still I like the move by Wys.
