    Who is Roland Williams

I have never heard of him and can not find any info on him. So I was wondering if someone could clue me in on him?

A decent TE for the Rams during their SB win- moved on to the Raiders and oblivion

He would be a good signing and would bring a ton of Rochester people to games. Rochester LOVES Roland Williams for some reason.

solid TE, nothing spectacular but solid. He went to Syracuse in the mid-late 90's. He's a solid blocking TE who can catch but won't give you big receiving plays.

People who would normally NOT go to the games would go just to see Roland Williams? I don't beleive you.

We got two of those already. It's not like the Raiders have Gonzales, Shockey, and Walls in front of Williams. I thought we had too many tough choices to cut as it is.

They love him in Rochester. He comes up here every year for a Roland Williams football camp. He was brought up here. I guess that's why. All his family and friends from here are Raiders fans...but they used to be Rams fans.

They would be Bills fans if he joined the Bills.

From East High and a rock solid pass catching TE with the Orange too. He was one of Donovan McNabb's favorite receivers along with Marvin Harrison, Kevin Johnson and Quinton Spotwood.

Man, McNabb had a lot of talent around him at Cuse. Donovin Darius, Morlon Greenwood, Olindo Mare, Marvin Harrison, Dwight Freeney, Kevin Johnson. Tebucky Jones was actually a running back for most of his career at Syracuse, was only later converted to Safety.

Though to be fair, Freeney was a frosh when McNabb was a senior.

Roland could certainly be our 3rd TE. He's big and a good blocker, but age (he's not really old, but is older than our 3rd TE candidates) and injuries may weigh against our signing him. I don't think the Bills would consider the Rochester-Syracuse connection in their decision.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

This could possibly be their thinking for the 3rd TE after Neufeld gets cut. With McDonnell already gone. Hmmmm....
