Clump's Final 53 man roster plus practice squad

I know y'all are waiting with breathless antici-------------pation for my final roster prediction. I will list my final cuts and then offer some explanation if necessary.

    My cuts to 53:

Trade: RB Olandis Gary to team X for conditional pick

    QB Jason Johnson
    RB Ken Simonton
    WR Rodney Wright
    WR Charles Johnson
    TE Ryan Neufeld
    TE Brady McDonnell
    OL Ross Tucker
    DE Grant Irons
    DT Lauvale Sape
    LB Mario Haggan
    CB Marcus Floyd
    DB Jerton Evans
    CB Dainon Sidney

Fill out 53 man roster: Sign one: 3rd TE, another safety, or 3rd QB

Thought process: when making a decision between 2 players, it must be recognized that some players may clear waivers and others wouldn't. This is why I released QB Jason Johnson. I do not believe he's likely to be claimed. I trade Gary because enough teams need help at RB and he's not a player that can be claimed on waivers. I would take a conditional 2004 or even package Gary with a pick for a player that could help the team at any position. Simonton, I believe, can be placed on PS and that may be a good spot for him. WR Wright played well and this is another case where I believe a player could clear waivers and be placed on PS. Aiken would be the type of player a team may grab. CJ is not likely to be signed by another team and could be re-signed easily if the need arose. Neither Neufeld nor McDonnell has impressed me, thus I cut both and look for a 3rd TE via waiver wire. It was a toss up between Tucker and Houghton for the last OL spot and last night I saw Tucker in the backfield too many times. Houghton seems to hold his own and could also be a candidate for release if a player becomes available on the waiver wire. Grant Irons suffers from a numbers game but really didn't show much when he started the game last night and played vs Lions 1st team OL. Sape is a classic example of a player that was drafted with the PS in mind. Haggan is a player that is more likely to clear waivers, I think Stamer has shown better intincts and needs to remain on the roster not exposed. Haggan will land on PS. Why had Marcus Floyd made it this far? Evans is like Sape. Sidney has made some nice plays but Scott Turner's versatility allows the Bills to go with 8 DBs for now. Sidney could easily make the team and someone like Houghton or Dorenbas be released. (I wasn't totally enamored with Dorenbas last night). Another note: Travis Brown injury basically protects his roster spot for now

    FINAL 53

QB(3): Bledsoe, Van Pelt, T. Brown
    RB(3): Henry, Morris, Burns
    FB(2): Gash, Crosby

From what I saw on Empire, Johnson looked good. I think TB may end up on IR and the keep JJ.

I agree with just about everything else, except Aiken. Has he shown anything?? Something tells me they will keep CJ. I don't know why.

Aiken is not making the team...no way they go with 3 rookie WRs...they keep Dainon Sydney instead.

I think you're wrong about LB Mario Haggan. Look for Stamer to get cut and put on the PS.

Burns is more versatile than Gary because he is able to play ST. Gary however has proven to be vital at the redzone. Unless the coaches feel that Henry or burns can puch through the DL in redzone situations, I'm not sure we should let Gary go. We were horrible last year at the rz O. This is one of the toughest decisions by our coaches.

I'm not sure if J Johnson is ready to face a 1st team D though. It would've been great to see him there (or TB if he was healthy) against a first D.

This is true, But I'm a WSW grad also, so I think we have a problem. It's like a paradox
