Drew Henson is going to the NFL !

Chris Mortensen just reported it on ESPN sportscenter. He said Henson is cooperating with the Texans about working out a trade. Houston wants a first rounder for him....Donahoe, give them a first for DRRRRREEEEEWWWW! !!! The sequel is much better than the original!

Houston gambled a 6th round pick on Henson (192 overall). Not a bad return on your investment. Don't forget, we took Lauvale Sape 187 overall.

Getting a #1 for an unproven QB? I doubt they get one- especially in a deep draft with some good QB talent in it next year.

They should sign him, get him on the roster for a season, maybe send him to NFLE, and see what shakes out.

But Henson is a millionaire already thanks to Steinbrenner, so he won't go.

Henson hasn't thrown a football in how many years?

No way is he worth a first rounder.

They need RB help, trade Gary or Burns and give them a conditional pick or something

Maybe a 2nd rounder, maybe, but definately not a first. He's just the guy we need, a 3rd qb with 3 or 4 years under a HOF QB. It would be nice to get him.
            Beware the sack master!

They're not going to start negotiations asking for something that everyone is gladly willing to give up ... I think they'll probably end up settling for a 2nd on a contending team (like the Bills) or a 3rd on a losing team (like the Bengals).

Great move by the Texans though if they end up being able to pull something off.

On a related note ... Henson has to be signed by whoever picks him up ... what will his impact be on a team's rookie cap?

After Drew is done conditioning himself back to NFL standards, he will net a top 10 draft pick from some team! He is only 23 years old!

He first thought he was too good to play for NFL so why would anyone gamble on a rusty QB??

It would be ironic if the Bills got him. Henson and Tom Brady were in a big QB controversy themselves at UM back in the late 1990's.
