All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Relax - Gary was our 4th RB, and Willis is on his way. And we actually got something for him.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
Originally posted by robeezy I just hope it was a high pick. Maybe 3rd or 4th with a conditions up to 1st round if Gary eates it up in Motown.
I doubt anywhere near that high. Probably a 5 through 7.

Listen I think Gary should have been released and probably would have been.........so.....just like Price.......genious TD got something for nothing.......wish I could have him do my taxes :)

"The team's most significant move Sunday was trading running back Olandis Gary to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft choice. It is believed the pick is a seventh-rounder, but it could end up being as high as the fifth round depending on Gary's playing time and production". (link)

i read somewhere the only reason Gary was signed was to deceive other teams. make them think we wouldn't take Magahee with our first rounder.
as for getting a pick for nothing by trading gary, this isn't all that necessarily true, considering we swallow his signing bonus money, which is relatively insignificant in the NFL world.
damn i'd loved to be a 3rd string nfl qb, get paid 300k a year to watch games on the sideline. hell yeah, sounds like my kind of job.
