Green Bay - Veteran offensive linemen Frank Winters and Bill Ferrario left the Green Bay Packers on waivers Sunday but some of the players who stayed would be wise to seek temporary housing.
After removing nine players Sunday morning from a 62-man roster to reach the limit of 53, coach Mike Sherman, his scouts and coaches were to study the complete National Football League cut list into the wee hours looking for discards who might be better players than those the Packers were forced to keep.
"A lot of things could happen between now and Wednesday," Sherman said. "We still have things we're going to do during the course of the week."
