man, this guy could EASILY replace Issel Reese on our roster. He was great in Baltimores Superbowl Run. He is a solid FS.

Only thing doesn't he have a broken forearm?

yes, but this guy could be had a bargain. he will be healed and ready to go around week 4-5 i would assume, and that is without a cast. he could play before that with a cast of some sort.

he is young and fast, and has a history of good play.

i would love to have him here.

I believe any team signing a player that has been "waived-injured" must inherit their previous contract. I'm gonna look into this

ewww.. well if that is the case.. then he is not worth 2.2 mill a year.

i thought after he reaches an injury settlement, he can sign a new contract.

"Kim was playing so well, there's no (other) reason we would've made a move," coach Mike Martz said Sunday.

they already kept 2 injured dbs on the roster, garrett and sehorn.

You are correct, he now becomes a FA and can sign a new contract with any team, to include the team that had the injury settement with him, he's not elgible until the 6th week thou.
Since he took the settlement.

I don't think we need to replace Reese, but to add a 4th Safety. We're awfully thin with just 3 on the roster.

Herring would be a good pickup, but only for a low cost

I was wondering if he were getting some reps there. If so, he's a very valuable guy, given his punt return ability as well.

yes.. he was injured tackling mcgee or brown on the opening kickoff.. his forearm snapped like a twig after getting caught under the KR.
