BUT...when I was at another bills site, they did this all the time. They'd throw out something like this early so they could say they were first. If they were wrong, big deal, pull it and no one remembers. If they were right, they look like geniuses and get lots of praise for having the balls to guess right. I hope so. I wouldn't be very credible if I posted untrue stories. That's why I put news on our front page with the Source listed. If the source is wrong or right, they know where it came from.

I weigh the sorces as well. If a guy worked for the Bills and told me stuff that just doesn't add up over time, then i would not run to the net and post it. So far, all I got is your word.

I've got nothing against Brian. If he does have sources he wouldn't be the first guy. It would be nice to hear if they are supposed to be inside the Bills organization. WGR did report earlier this afternoon that TD has offered him a contract.

Until someone proves to me otherwise, I'm still of the opinion that this has to go through a 24 hour waiver process before Milloy can technically sign a free agent contract. Buffalo can contact him during this period, but no deal can happen until some time tomorrow.

The technicalities and Brian's inside report aside, given Buffalo's obvious interest, favorable cap situation, and the advantages of becoming a Buffalo Bill (a team on the rise and in the division with an opportunity to stick it to his former team) I can easily see Buffalo being the front runner in the Milloy quest.

However, if such player is claimed and awarded, he shall have the option to declare himself an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the League Year in question if he has a no-trade clause in his Player Contract. If such player does not have a no-trade clause and the Player Contract being awarded through waivers covers more than one additional season, the player shall have the right to declare himself an Unrestricted Free Agent as set forth above at the end of the League Year following the League Year in which he is waived and awarded.
