We've got the Bears/49ers on. Mom picked the Bears... If I had known that they were going to have a monsoon and would be playing football on giant slip & slide ... I would have taken the Bears too.

The Bengals spent a great deal to upgrade their Oline. It doesn't look much different.

Burrow has been picked off 3 times so far, one for a pick 6 and 2 at the LOS.

He's been under siege.

thats because Burrows has little to no feal for the pocket. his Oline was terrible last year, yes, but it wasn't as bad as he made them look. people forget he played behind a wall at LSU, he just doesn't know how to operate in the pocket yet. His line isn't good this year either but he's making them look much much worse then they are.

this last INT he just threw, he had a good pocket, plenty of time and he just stared the WR down and threw it slightly behind him and into double coverage.

dog****. looks like the effects of his so called injury were greatly exaggerated, playing about the same as he did last year. i got picture and picture going and am just flipping between games like a pig in heaven today, got bengals-steelers, fins-patriots, browns-panthers, and jets-ravens on, as a sidenote, joey flaco has the jets almost looking like an NFL team, and Lamar Jackson appears to have regressed as a passer

In a way, but Jonah Williams was beat quickly and cleanly by Hightower twice )one leading to an INT when he was hit as he threw) and Watt has beaten people cleanly also.

He just threw his 4th int A bad pass into double coverage.

TD Browns, that trashy person Kareem Hunt, just took it 24 yards to the house

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 06:21 AM
TD Dolphins, speed kills, and Jaylin Waddle just took a short little dink and dunk crossing pass 42 yards to the house.

the fins offense is dull, and Tua is the definition of mediocre, but those two WRs are going to be trouble.

just flipped over to the bears-49ers game.

from the stats they just flashed on the screen, both of their QBs (lance and fields) are setting football back a century. both are well under 50% completion and neither has thrown for more then 70 yards and the half is basically done. Fields even has an int

I'm really wondering now if Baker Mayfield just changes plays to passes in the huddle.

Same thing with Cleveland he's throwing the ball a ridiculous amount of times while he has a standout RB standing back there with him.

19 pass attempts today. 3 Runs by McCaffrey.

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 06:54 AM
oh look at that patriots got a TD, drive helped by a tickytack defensive holding call on 4th down. but still the patriots show the first sign of life on the offense all game.

Ingtar33

yeah, 11/20, 98 yards and 1 TD (3car 18yards), trey lance as awful as he's been has actually put up a better passing and rushing statline against the bears.

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 07:05 AM

If you haven't seen it yet,he did a good job of avoiding pressure and leaving the pocket. When he did, he had a wide open receiver in blown coverage. The pass was easier than escaping the rush.

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 07:29 AM
and the fins game is done. pats just crapped the bed on 4th down at midfield.

Tribusky has been pretty meh today. Kind of a Trent Edwards game. High completion percentage but not really doing much with it. The way the Pitt D played in the first half, and the turovers they created, there is no way Cinci should be in this game.

- - - Updated - - -

And...Burrow just threw another INT.

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 07:33 AM
and the bears are now winning. missed it but apparently Justin Fields tossed another TD. what a turnaround. completely outclassed the bears in all aspects of the game and they're losing. gj trey lance.

Christ Tua is doing his best to try to get the patriots back in this one. weird. he was playing flawless dink and dunk and he nearly threw the ball away twice,

...and Burrow just tossed another int

Novacane

how that wasn't intentional grounding by tua is beyond me

the bengals have been getting endless home cooking from the refs this whole second half. and they get the td on the last play. sureal

i've never seen a team so undeserving of a win pull it out at the last moment.

6 or 7 drive extending penalties for the bengals most of which were phantom as all heck. this was a sureal end.

holy crap the bengals extra point was blocked.

the bengals have been 100% deserving of a loss all game. playing like trash, -5 turnovers, yet the refs have been just throwing the yellow all 2nd half whenever they get to 4th down. it's been sureal.

Ingtar33
09-11-2022, 08:18 AM
holy ****, that might be the first time the Bengals went 10 yards for a first down in their last 7 or 8 first downs. almost 200 yards in penalties against the steelers now. and i can't honestly say i even saw most of those penalties. they've been phantom stuff to keep the bengals in it for the most part. and now the steelers defense has given up.

this game is reminding me of the western conference finals between the lakers and kings 20 years ago... some surreal officiating.

Saquon Barkley is healthy. He had 164 yards on 19 carries for a 9.1 average with one TD.

Well, let's see what happens when we play them. The Titans are a plodding deliberate team mean to wear you down, and come out on top in the end because of mucking and grinding. Vrabel isn't one to trumpet himself. They basically built a tough old school team. Doesn't mean you can't beat them, other teams do. We have experience against them, we should know how, so now just do it and put it to rest. If we lose, it says something. If we win, it says something else.

Next game. Congrats to Daballs.

For me, Brady. I have older, more compelling grudges against Dallas. Make Jones take handfulls of antacids in his premium suite and revisit the last 2 and a half decades of his work with more antacids and some bourbon while the cameras keep zooming in on his aggravation in his palace stadium.

I just watched all of mahomes plays. It's ridiculous how wide open Andy Reid gets his receivers. Mahomes had legit 3 contested passes the whole game.

I honestly dont see mahomes having much success vs our defense because he struggles with pressure and defenses with good DBs. AZ was letting receivers run wide open

The Bears, Steelers, Giants and Browns all won, but looked bad in so doing. The Saints looked bad for 3 quarters before winning. The Cowboys, Cardinals, and Packers looked bad. That was unexpected. The Jets, Patriots, Jags, 49ers and Rams looked bad. Half the league looked bad and unprepared to some degree. Do they need to add back the 4th preseason game to stop the opening day garbage? For teams to prepare?

On the bright side? Chargers, Vikings. Chiefs, Bills, and Ravens look solid. Or at least prepared.

The Lions pushed the Eagles to the very last seconds after starting slow. That team looks better.

None of the Thursday night games will be available on broadcast stations (https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-on-amazon-watch-thursday-night-football-broadcasts-2022/bhap2cvr0qp7l4jz28c4y8bo), except within the home markets of the teams playing the game.

Either you have Amazon Prime or you don’t get to watch the game live. NFL+ Premium will stream the game 10 minutes after it’s completed like all games.

The preseason game that was broadcast on Amazon was done with 4K and was a substantially better experience. The ability to watch the game from the start, after coming in late, and ability to fast forward through the crap was very welcome. There are supped to be more enhancements coming, like replays from different angles on demand.

That is how I watch “live” games on my cable serve. I DVR them and start watching 30 to 45 minutes after it stars so I can avoid the interminable delays.

When I watch a “full game” on NFL+, when all the commercials and half time crap is cut out, it is at least an hour shorter than watching live.

For example, the Bills vs LA Rams game is 1:42. The “condensed” game (only snap to snap) is only 39 minutes long.

We are right, you are wrong. 3 preseason games are plenty. Maybe the NFL coaches should let their starters get a few series in every preseason game. Take for example Josh Allen playing 1 series in preseason and Aaron Rodgers playing none. Not sure if Brady even played a snap in the preseason.

Adding a 4th game would just mean more backups getting practice.

3 games is more than enough .... these guys are pretty good at evaluation so I'm hoping it stays at a max of 3 ..... in the future a 2 game preseason needs to be considered.

Most teams get more from scrimmaging another team because they can set the situation.

Hackett committed unforgivable coaching malpractice in that game. I detailed it right here (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/showthread.php/261069-Daboll-being-aggressive-I-know-McDermott-won-t-make-the-same-call?p=4956971&viewfull=1#post4956971).

Fumbling twice on the 1 yard line does not have anything to do with “not trusting” Wilson. He is still an elite QB and Hackett is the one who does not know what the **** he is doing.

I am always happy when an expected AFC contender loses a game to a NFC team. But, man, that was hard to watch.

It seemed like the coaches thought they still had Drew Lock at QB and not Russell Wilson.

Idk why it isnt mentioned more often but Mahomes nearly every play looks for his first read, if its not there, he rolls to the right and finds a crosser. Its either a screen, swing pass, 5 yd stop route, or run to the right and find a crosser. 90% of the time, thats the offense

Its the reason i cant call him the best QB or top 3. He rarely in a game does he have to throw tight window passes. When he does, its games like this, or vs us during the season last year, or the superbowl (the offensive line was bad, but he made it worse by run around like a child). Like maybe 3-4 times at max does he have to thread the needle and most of those times its still vs single coverage where the receiver has all the leverage. He also has really bad pocket manipu, he feels the defenders fine, but he reacts to it like Johnny Manziel used to

Compare him to Herbert or Allen who are making throws into tight coverage constantly. Standing in the pocket and manipulating it while throwing dimes in traffic. Mahomes almost never has to do this.
