I don't want to lose this guy. Pay him HC money for a few years.

I wonder what his contract is.

          My God.

He's had 2 games. Let's pump the brakes a bit here. Before becoming OC, he was a QB coach. Let's not elevate him to Head Coach yet. He also has Josh Allen making him look like a genius.

Let's ease up on the "er ma gawd he's gunna leeve us" stuff

It's not an uncommon career trajectory in the league, a lot of teams are looking for the next young offensive mind to bring in and put in charge. If they keep up at this pace his name will definitely be on a lot of short lists.

There is between a 0% to 5% chance he’s not a head coach next season if our trajectory stays the same.

The NFL loves the hot new thing and Dorsey’s play calls have been REALLY good so far. I would imagine his agent has already taken some calls.

The second the O stumbles a bit and we lose a game, some will blame him. Lose another and we'll hope he leaves or gets fired.

He's doing a great job so far, but he also has a really good O to work with.

Usually, teams with HC vacancies are not very good. Being able to win with such a potent offense doesn't necessarily make him capable of rebuilding a team that lacks talent.

Think about it this way: The Bills look to be a good team for the foreseeable future, but the NFL is cyclical. At some point, we will have a 3-4 win season and end up ****-canning the coach. Once we are back in that position, would you be satisfied if our next head coach was a 1-year OC who was a QB coach prior to that? I'd definitely want someone with more experience, no matter how good the offense was for that 1 year.

Yeah if the Bills keep this up, he'll be a HC next year. The trend is OC's becoming HC's because with the dearth of franchise QBs, you need to manufacture offense.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. We have a franchise QB. Being able to manufacture offense with Josh Allen doesn't mean he can manufacture offense on a team with no franchise QB.

Meanwhile, guys like Bieniemy have never gotten a Head Coaching job.

The Rooney Rule really works though. :eyeroll:
