All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

At the current rate of injury the league has a problem.
Ideas?

I like having another week of football ... no real complaints there. But what purpose does week 17 really serve in terms of practicality? Nothing. It's a money grab.
So give me 30 weeks of football and 10 weeks of playoffs -- if you are going to increase roster size double it.
I personally think 17 games is pushing it. Love football, but still. I think there will be more run for the bus season ending games from contenders that clinch, and teams trying to evaluate for the next season. Remains to be seen. Think the product in general looked sloppy the first couple weeks, just my opinion.
Can't help but think of it this way.....if you have a grueling job,and your employment decides to add an extra hour to your work day that impacts how you get ready to go there in the morning, it's going to wear on you. Company might be happy, customers might be happy, but it's going to take a toll on the work force.
Expanding the rosters by 3 or more would be a good idea. The NFLPA should back any roster expansion.
The more you expand the game, somebody is going to have to pay. That is the fans are going to have to pay more. Ticket prices, parking, concessions, merchandise, pay to watch & listen at home. So no.

I like 16 weeks just because it ties in nicely with the rest of the relevant numbers of the league (32 teams, 8 divisions, 4 teams each, 2 conferences). Guys are going to get hurt and I don't think there has been any significant increase in injuries since going to 17 regular and 3 preseason games coupled with the more relaxed off-season practice rules.

I like 16 and 4 for the product. Nathan Peterman is still on an NFL roster.
I just don't like the odd number of games. I'd rather go back to 14 but that ain't going to happen and neither is going back to 16. So might as well go to 18 and cut out another meaningless game.
Holy crap, Peterman is on the Bears practice squad LOL
