At the June minicamp, Milloy talked of how the offseason trade rumors that had swirled around him would ‘‘add a little extra fuel to my fire.'' Just imagine how combustible he would be now.

‘‘No one would want to see that,'' Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said of the prospect of facing Milloy twice this season - once in the opener and again in the regular-season finale Dec. 27. ‘‘I hope we don't play him.''
