 I remember 50 years ago when I'd try that.

I'm not cold. :D

If Josh does have a bad elbow, he needs new medical advice. Wrap that thing up in the cold.

The pro pitchers and opera singers I've run across go with heat on off days. (Arm, throat) Cold drafts aren't cool.

That snow is heavy. Josh bent the shovel handle!

Not necessary. Just keep the injured elbow out of the cold, for starters.

He's a beast.

That's the way shovels are built but don't tell anybody.

Looks like his new elbow.

He appeared to have a lot of velocity on most of his passes.

Pretty sure he's ok with the elbow.

Never caught him wincing or grabbing at it so that's good.

Good. I'm glad it's cleared.

As long as it doesn't look like Poyer's I'm good.

Poyer doesn't put the majority of his performance on the condition of his elbow.

This shot is so heartwarming. Right up there with Losman helping the gardeners.

Just continue to wear the brace for Poyer.

Yeah, this is obviously not the goal for Josh. Like pitchers arms and singers throats, extra care is needed for a $200 million elbow, especially when coming off an injury.

I've shoveled snow in short sleeves many times.

I've even skied in short sleeves.

Ever play hockey outdoors without a shirt?

Never did that one, but I did scrape ice off the driveway so i could play basketball outdoors in February.

The kids in our neighborhood had a tradition of playing football during the first snowfall of the year. Of course, the ground is frozen and there's only an inch or two of snow, and none of us had pads or even cleats, so it was basically like playing on slippery concrete. And we played full tackle. I don't know how there wasn't a rash of serious injuries.

I think you were arguing against me saying it was injured and he shouldn't be shoveling snow in short sleeves.

Were you ever a $200 million qb with a bum elbow?

We always had injuries.

We played some football but mostly hockey when it snowed.

The Town would flood an area for us we always had FREE ice.

We didn't play much ice hockey. There weren't any ponds in our neighborhood. There was a tennis court nearby that they would try to freeze over, but even in Rochester, it rarely got cold enough to have good ice.

We did play a lot of roller hockey in the warmer months when the roads/ parking lots were clear.

I don't recall any serious injuries. There would always be bumps and bruises.

We had a pond at the end of the street next to me Briarhill Drive in West Seneca ..... FREE ICE we were very fortunate kids little did we know at the time.

Brian Daboll MIGHT HAVE played there when he was a kid not sure.

I know he's from West Seneca and everybody played there.

We even had lighting.

I was in roller hockey leagues, but around the neighborhood, we would play in parking lots or the dead end at the end of our street. We usually played at this school nearby. One summer, they were renovating the school and had the whole building wide open. We decided to skate through the halls. That was fun until the principal caught us. The conversation went something like this.

Her: "Skating on school property is too dangerous. Go back out to the highway right now!"
Me: "Wait, you just said..."
Her: "I know what I said- get out of here before I call the cops!"

They did eventually build an outdoor rink for roller hockey and lacrosse but that was shortly before I moved away so I only played there a couple of times.
