The defensive tackle had several notable plays against the Lions on Thanksgiving. Oliver finished the game with a forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one sack in the end zone for a safety, two tackles for loss and six total tackles.

The game was all tied up in the second quarter when Oliver knocked the ball out of Lions running back Jamaal Williams' hands and recovered it. That following drive, the Bills offense scored a touchdown and took the lead.

Later, in the third quarter on 3rd and 15, Oliver sacked Lions quarterback Jared Goff in the end zone for a safety.

He certainly did have a monster game against the Lions. Need to carry it over for the rest of the year.

Well deserved. I hope he gets paid to stay.

I saw the John Fina "Off Tackle" show with Darryl Talley. When Ed Oliver is mentioned, Darryl is expression is "show me more like the Detroit game." The issue for Ed is really about consistency. He is consistently good. But not consistently dominating like the Detroit game. In fact you can argue that Detroit game performance is an anomaly for him.

I have yet to see it.

Let's see him do it against BAL/KC/MIA/NE etc before paying him the big bucks, yeah?

He'll get paid. The issue is what he will be asking for. More towards Aaron Donald scale?

He's going to get paid, and I'd bet not by the Bills

They picked up his 5th year already. I suspect he will get an extension done this summer to lower his cap #.

Lions were without both starting guards. Do it again.

Let this be the starting point for Ed Oliver and a consistent high level of play.

Play like your head is on fire!

As you suggest I'm sure they already know his value and will take the steps needed to secure him right here.
