BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bills quarterback Josh Allen is teaming up with public benefit corporation ForgiveCo to help forgive over $10 million in debt for people in Wyoming, his hometown of California’s Central Valley, and Buffalo.

“For average Americans across the country, debt relief is on its way,” ForgiveCo said in a release.

According to ForgiveCo, people and brands pair with the public benefit corporation (PBC) to help communities in need by purchasing their debt in bundles, like debt collectors do. Rather than collecting, however, they forgive the debt to help those in financial need. Josh Allen is the latest to pair with the company, they said.

Although I think Josh is a great guy, all these guys should doing this. Impressed but not wowed!

I’m confused, is he putting up the $200K investment or is he a sponsor? The article isn’t clear.

He's giving the entity the $200k to relieve $10mil in debt and have his 'brand' associated with the philanthropy. If he wants to be associated with the entity any further, he would have to pony up more money.

Allen is a class act.

Every time I see him in public, I ask him for a finster. He never gives me a finster, but always has some Burger King coupons he'll pass along.

You should carry around a mini helmet and ask some kid to have Josh sign it for him. Then give the $5 BK coupon to the kid for the helmet back.
