Josh will have to hit the easy throws.
Recievers need to catch the ball.
Dline needs to pressure Tua.
Edmunds needs to get a pick. He deserves one.

If Dorsey commits to the run we’ll win pretty easily…

Pressure, pressure, and more pressure on Tua. SF and SD proved he’s as bad as Brady when he’s pressured.

Bump Waddle and Hill off the line, wrecks their timing.

Commit to the run, the o-line has a tough challenge, the Fins have a strong front 4.

The Dolphin defense is tired, they were on the field over 80 plays the last two games.

And of course, ball security and get turnovers!

Make Tua hold the ball. Don’t give him anything easy.

When he has to hold the ball, he stinks.

Kenny

Pressure Tua obviously.

But based on the Chargers game last night, dont give Waddle or Hill a free release, and find a way to take the middle of the field away. Not sure our d scheme can do this, but hoping Leslie was paying attention.

The Buffalo Bills are one win away from clinching a spot in the AFC playoffs. They can sew up a playoff berth with a win on Saturday night against the Miami Dolphins. If the 10-3 Bills defeat the Dolphins to go to 11 wins on the season, they will clinch their fifth playoff appearance in six years, and they can do it in front of a national television audience.

Both San Fran and Chargers have given the blueprint. Buffalo has the defensive personal like San Fran to accomplish it, and much better than the Chargers.

Don’t forget, the Bills limited Miami’s passing game to just 186 yards last time, and Tryeek Hill to just 2 catches for 33 yards. They let Waddle loose to many times, but the Bills defense was without several key starters.....Ed Oliver, Dane Jackson, Poyer besides Hyde and Tre’ White.

Mitch Morse also missed that game. And there were many players out during the game because of injuries and the extreme heat and humidity....

Jake Kumerow, left game in 1st Q, did not return
Benford left game in 2nd Q, only retuned for a few special team snaps.
Spencer Brown left game in 2nd Q, did nt return
Dawson Knox left game in 3rd Q, missed 11 straight plays.
MicKenzie left game in 3rd Q, missed 11 straight plays.
Ryan Bates left game in 3rd Q, did not return
Greg Van Rosen left game in 4th Q, did not return.

And STILL the Bills had a very good chance to win. A couple of brain farts by Josh Allen (and one really pathetic short hop throw on 4th down late in the game that would have probably meant a win) and the failure of McKenzie to get out of bounds.

It was a game that Miami was lucky to win.

Revenge is going to be sweet this Saturday night.

I wonder if Elam plays this Sunday. He's our fastest DB, and supposedly (or at least in college) excelled at press coverage.

The only way to slow that Miami offense is to disrupt timing. Tua throws the ball before the receivers break their routes - disrupt timing, and you have the Tua from the past 2 games.

I'd say, watch the film of their last two games.

The opponents, pressed the receivers off the line and dropped the linebackers back to take away the middle of the field, both of which have been Bills weak points.

Will McFrazier adjust ? I don't know.

This.

Timing is the main thing. Taking away the middle of the field. That's where Tua makes his money, timing passes over the middle. They CAN NOT let the WRs run free off of the line. Jam them. Disrupt timing. Make Tua think. Make him react.

If we are to win and ne'er to fall
This rule then applies to one and to all:
It's simple, you see,
Whether down 1 or down 3,
The receivers do need to catch the ball.

I seriously doubt they jam anybody at the line too much, except for maybe Taron in the slot, it's just not in their DNA.

That would require they actually play Elam and let him do something he's pretty good at. Tre can play off man and make up for it, when fully healthy, but Jackson in off man coverage is going to get eaten up by Waddle.

They were using heaters against the Chargers in a stadium with a roof in California.

https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2022/12/12/dolphins-heaters-chargers-bills

The funniest observation about the weather thing and how it is going to affect the Fins’ in the worst way came from John Breech of CBS Sports in his weekly picks column (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-15-picks-bills-destroy-dolphins-titans-upset-chargers-jets-and-giants-both-lose/). I am not posting this because he is picking the Bills in a rout (although that is great).....it’s how he frames the “cold weather” phobia of the thin blooded Floradinirans.

As someone who once lived in a warm-weather state for six years (California), let me just say that there is nothing worse than being forced to visit a cold-weather city during the middle of December. No one willingly wants to do that. There's a reason you don't see people taking December vacations to Buffalo.
<o:p></o:p>
The forecast for this week's game is calling for a high of 31 degrees with a chance of snow and you know who's not going to be fazed by that? The Bills (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/BUF/buffalo-bills/).
<o:p></o:p>
On other hand, I'm starting to have a feeling that the weather might end up being a problem for the Dolphins (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/MIA/miami-dolphins/). If you've ever been to Miami, you may have noticed that people start wearing jackets there when the temperature falls below 70 degrees. In Buffalo, no one even owns a jacket, and if they do, it's only so they can wear it to make fun of people from Miami. <o:p></o:p>

What I'm trying to say here is that I don't think the Dolphins are going to handle the weather too well. I mean, this is the team that brought their own bench heater for an INDOOR game being played in CALIFORNIA.

If you can't handle southern California in December, you have no chance of handling Buffalo during any month of the year, especially if you're a Dolphins team that can't win in cold weather.
<o:p></o:p>
Since the start of the 2017 season, the Dolphins have played seven games where the kickoff temperature was under 40 degrees and they've won exactly ZERO of them: They've gone 0-7 both straight-up and against the spread and they've lost those seven games by an average of 18.7 points. Sure, seven games isn't a huge sample size, but let's be real, you don't need to have a huge sample size when dealing with cold weather because we have all of human history as our sample size and all of human history has shown us that people who don't live in cold weather hate cold weather.<o:p></o:p>

If you combine that with the fact that the Dolphins offense has been in a rut over the past two weeks, the fact that Tyreek Hill (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/2131163/tyreek-hill/) is banged up and the fact that Tua Tagovailloa looks like he's forgotten how to play football, this feels like it all adds up to a Bills blowout win.
<o:p></o:p>
The Bills have won five straight home games against the Dolphins and they've won those games by an average score of 35.8 to 18.2. I was going to make that my final score prediction, but I've been asked not to put decimals in my predictions anymore.
<o:p></o:p>
The pick:Bills 34-20 over Dolphins <o:p></o:p>

Any true blue Buffalonian knows EXACTLY what Mr. Breech is talking about.

I had an aunt and cousins who lived in FT Lauderdale, and when I was a kid, they would visit us in Buffalo from time to time during the summer.

In June while we were all going outside in our shorts and T-shirts basking in the low 70’s....they were huddled inside sweaters, shivering.

When I first started coming to Las Veags for trade shows in the early 90’s in February, I could always tell when a local was walking on the street in the high 60’s low 70’s weather.

While I was, again, in shorts and a T-shirt, they had their winter coats and hats on.

Now that we live here full time, my wife breaks out the jacket whenever the temp goes below 75 degrees. :D: I’m still a little heartier than she is. I don’t break out the jacket until it goes into the 50’s.<iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets/widget_iframe.644279d1635fd969e87af94a98bd232b.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billszone.com" title="Twitter settings iframe" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" title="Twitter analytics iframe" style="position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: none; width: 0px; height: 0px; padding: 0px; border: none;"></iframe><iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets/widget_iframe.644279d1635fd969e87af94a98bd232b.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billszone.com" title="Twitter settings iframe" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" title="Twitter analytics iframe" style="position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: none; width: 0px; height: 0px; padding: 0px; border: none;"></iframe><iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets/widget_iframe.644279d1635fd969e87af94a98bd232b.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billszone.com" title="Twitter settings iframe" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" title="Twitter analytics iframe" style="position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: none; width: 0px; height: 0px; padding: 0px; border: none;"></iframe><iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets/widget_iframe.644279d1635fd969e87af94a98bd232b.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billszone.com" title="Twitter settings iframe" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" title="Twitter analytics iframe" style="position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: none; width: 0px; height: 0px; padding: 0px; border: none;"></iframe>

quite a change in attitude. being sarcastic i presume?

The Dolphins are pretenders. Bills will maul them. 7 inches of snow coming in and all the Bills dicks are even longer.

This is exactly what they'll do.

They were on the field for 90 plays against us the 1st time around.

The issue is, we're not a press man / bump and run type of defense. We keep things in front of us allowing WRs a free release. Maybe White is good enough to play this style, but who else? Elam? (do coaches trust him enough?) I dont think our defense really matches up well against these offenses.

On another note, hope Josh is wearing a cup unless he wants another grab from Wilkins!

I think understanding their concept and tendency is the first step. The Bills lost to the Dolphins on Waddle's long TD play and that one falls into the same category. There can be different ways to beat it based on individual teams personnel. On that play that beat the Bills in September, if they had known what they know now, I think they would ask Jaquan Johnson to not let Waddle go inside, forcing Tua to make the more difficult throw (to him) of throwing outside.

At first glance it's a great comment, until you remember they felt it necessary to use heaters in California under a roofed stadium that has drafts.

If .....if they beat us here in the weather, I'd have to say they earned it.

Hope McDermott has his team ready and sends them home with their heaters on high.<iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets/widget_iframe.644279d1635fd969e87af94a98bd232b.html?origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.billszone.com" title="Twitter settings iframe" style="display: none;"></iframe><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="true" style="position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: none; width: 0px; height: 0px; padding: 0px; border: none;" title="Twitter analytics iframe"></iframe>

The 90s Bills had Thurman Thomas and running was a big part of the no huddle offense. So they have the air raid threat while the bread and butter kind of run offense always works in the cold. The Allen era Bills? not so much, like McKenzie said "we can barely run the ball when it's sunny out there."

I want to say I know how this ends, I'm just not real comfortable saying it will. I'll feel better if it does. I won't be happy until the final gun says "Yay" in our favor.

Well they may bring triple number of heaters to buffalo. Watch out for the crago plane from Miami tomorrow.

But the Bills should change the visitor side electric outlets circuit board to a single 220V switch. You plug too many in, you jump the switch.

Probably should move game to Sunday Night.

Unfair to us since we have to play next week on Saturday again. And i want the Fins to get hit with as much weather as possible (to the extent that the game can still be played), given all the BS we had to deal with in Miami earlier this season.
