The way Saffold is playing, they better activate Boettger. I was high on the Saffold signing but his days are over. The guy has been moved to the side with ease these past 2 weeks.

Exactly. Which has been the book on him his whole career. Not sure he was the perfect fit for our pass happy offense and $250M quarterback.

It's pretty clear OL should be a big off season focus.

So weird he wasn't able to be coached up.

He could pay dividends if you just wanted to punch somebody in the mouth.

Gotta keep him till the end !!

He’s old too. Hard to coach up when maybe lingering health issues are there. Things that hurt but not worthy in the nfl of coming out.

I agree that he wasn’t the quick fix we had hoped. We move on from him.

Tough thing about OL is that is a little like NHl goalie. Some early success may disappear. You kind of need to see consistency for a year or two and hope they stay injury free.

I never counted on him when he was healthy. A swinging door many games. I can still remember multiple camp reports in past years, saying anyone he was blocking was getting past him. Does nothing for me.

I think the bigger issue is Morse.

I don't need to tell anyone here how important the C-QB exchange is. Morse has been graded as our best OL this year. It's a huge loss.

And, on a more human element, he's had concussion issues in the past. How much more abuse can he physically take? How much more is he willing to take?

Let's hope Bates can go, if Morse can't.

The future is now. Ryan Bates WANTs to play center and I think the Bills view him as the next in-line after Morse as well.

I know Morse's original mega contract with the Bills runs through the end of this year, but he signed a 2 year extension for lesser money. However, I see it is likely 1 more year before Bates taking over --- only about 2.5 million cap hit for the final year of that extension.

Like I said before IF the Bills should win superbowl this year, expect to see some players to retire unexpectedly. Morse is one of those in my book.
