Drafted in the second round by the Dolphins in the 2018 NFL (https://dailycaller.com/2022/12/22/las-vegas-raiders-josh-jacobs-teammates-pee-so-bad-huddle-national-football-league-nfl-new-england-patriots/) Draft, Gesicki was franchise tagged back in March by the team, which was viewed as a way for the 27-year-old to prove himself and show why the team should keep him around.

However, Gesicki hasn’t gotten much of a chance, with Miami barely using his services for a complete month now. Against Buffalo, he only caught one pass for five yards, and in the three games before that, he didn’t have a single reception. Altogether this season, he’s only tallied up 274 yards and four touchdowns. In the past three games, Gesicki has only played in 41 snaps, according to OutKick (https://www.outkick.com/miami-dolphins-tight-end-mike-gesicki-viral-hot-mic-dawson-knox-target/).

As far as Gesicki goes the Dolphins have definitely wasted him.

What’s the story on Gesicki? Makes no sense he’s not playing.

From what is sounds like, blocking isn’t his string suit. Dude can catch… made me never notice his stated bad separation

They don't target him very much .... Hill and Waddle get most.

They are wasting an obvious talent JMO.

They should have traded him. He's not really a fit for McDaniel's offense. They want TEs that can also block. He's basically a big slot receiver.

I think Hill and Waddle made him less shiny. Personally think using him more would open up Hill and Waddle worse, but what do I know, I'm just a stupid non professional.

Would you take a trade for Knox straight up?

I would not!

Heck no. Knox blocks and hopefully will continue to make huge TD catches.
