Washington is 10 points ahead of us and the Islanders are 6 points ahead of us for the WC….. but Washington has played 6 more games and NYI have played 5 more games.

Amazing we are still talking about this after that 10 game losing streak, but it’s also frustrating to think how much better it would be if they had won just 2 of those games.

I would be overjoyed if the Sabres beat out the Caps for the last wild card spot by just a couple of points.

If we do get in, it’ll be as the 8th seed and we’ll get pummeled by NYR or Carolina, but after so many years with no playoffs, I’ll take it.

Sabres play the island tonight. A win puts them 3 points back of the isles.

The red wings play the yotes at home. Red wings are currently 5 points up on Buffalo.

Tampa, New Jersey, Washington, Philly, and Pit are all in action as well.

It's a huge night that could easily propel the Sabres or effectively bury them

Saturday's game was a tough watch. I was in Detroit for it, but couldn't make it to the actual game.

Red wings just suffocated the Sabres after Tages goal, which was a bad one to begin with.

Wings just had that juice. After a while, I noticed the sabres getting sloppy as they began to get desperate to create chances.
