So, Higgins supported Axe ALS in the past.

It looks like that when the incident happened on Monday, Higgins didn’t have any active charitable campaigns, so someone found what he had done in the past and started a new GoFundMe.

It’s a bit weird, but with his high profile this story is, it would take a lot of balls and stupidity to pull off a scam.

Also, numerous news outlets in Buffalo and Cincy have reported on this and posted the link.

The first paragraph makes me pause...

Lets show Tee Higgins the Bills Mafia cares!!! Support his current charity! This is an update to the old one that was wrong! All proceeds go directly to the charity. This is updated from the previous Tee Higgins fund that was not correct.

People are looking to profit off Damar Hamlin (https://www.tmz.com/people/damar-hamlin/)'s tragic injury by creating fraudulent GoFundMe campaigns, advertised as helping the athlete who's currently fighting for his life ... but we're told the online company's already cracking down on anyone pretending to help the Bills player.

After a little more research I’m not 100% convinced. The charity was started by someone supposedly named Kyle Holz but I can’t find anything about him except an article about this subject and a news interview on a Cincy station that has his voice but no video.

The voice definitely has a WNY accent, but that doesn’t mean much. There are millions of people with that accent and it’s not that hard to fake.
