The Pats fans can smooth it over anyway they want. Bottom line is this is a tremendous pychological blow to the team. Four days before there opener they lose the QB of there defense to there opponent. Lawyer was well liked by his teamates in NE.

The truth is, we're no better as fans when a Bills player leaves. However in this case it was a little different. I've never heard of a Pro Bowl player being released 5 days before the opening game against a division rival who ends up SIGNING said Pro Bowl player.

Actually I think a majority of Pats fans feel he was unfairly treated and shouldnt have been released. Ive been scouring what they call a message board and have seen MANY disgruntled fans. If the fans are this bumed, just think about what the players who actually worked with him must feel.
