Elam had a fantastic game. With the news that Dane Jackson (after starting the game) could have come back in after his injury, but Elam stayed out there, is a welcome sign that he is peaking at the right time....and starting to put a stranglehold on the #2 starting CB slot.

If he maintains a high level of performance, along with Tre’ White looking more and more comfortable (and effective) week after week, the CB’s could be a strength going into the last three games of the season.

I really hope that yesterday was Elam's coming out party. The Bills need him to be the guy they thought when they drafted him. Yesterday, he was that, albeit for a short period of time.

Didn't Mahomes dislocate his kneecap a few years ago? I think he played the next week.
He missed 2 games, which in itself is a miracle. It was in 2020

no one plays a week after that injury... that's usually a min4 weeks in a knee immobilization brace. he MIGHT make it back for the superbowl if they get there, but he's not playing before then.

I think some of you (maybe not you) experts thought the same thing about Hodgins. My point is we dump a$$es just really don’t have a clue. The funny thing is even the guys that do this for a living sometimes don’t have a clue!

You’re comparing apples to oranges situationally…Hodgins cost nothing against the cap and was not stealing snaps/targets away from more deserving players. Also, because of the injury we didn’t know what we had, whereas we have multiple years of disappointing tape on McKenzie to make an informed decision

Funny thing and I’ve mentioned this before, everyone was really high on our WR’s going into the reason even McKenzie. The was no room for Hodgins. BTW, hindsight is 20/20!

I was high on Shakir and still am. I love what we saw from both him and Hodgins in the Pittsburgh/Baltimore game and thought it was a harbinger of things to come. But no, we McD is too loyal to scrubs

The signs have pointed in the direction of the Bengals being shorthanded on the offensive line all week and the team made it official on Friday.

Head coach Zac Taylor said that left tackle Jonah Williams and right guard Alex Cappa (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/12122/alex-cappa) have been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Bills. Williams dislocated his kneecap last Sunday and Cappa has an ankle injury that kept him from playing in the win over the Ravens.

The fact that he has not played a ton has quite possibly shielded him from the common rookie fatigue.
