    Amazing StreakComing To An End

    God bless Jerry Green

Sportswriter Jerry Green has ended his streak of covering every Super Bowl for The Detroit News, per a column he posted today. No one else had covered all 56 Super Bowls. At age 94, he was still on the fence when I emailed him last week, but his health has made the trip too difficult. Green was among the reporters gathered around Joe Namath poolside in a famous photo before Super Bowl III.

All future press passes for the SB should have his name on it.

Very good suggestion, submit it to the league office!
