Beane has botched the draft too often

This list is painful to look at. 2022 may turn out well, but 2021 is absolutely brutal. Other years we get one or two fringe starters or depth players at best. The highest drafted OL is bust Cody ford followed by shouldn't be starting Spencer Brown. It's a travesty really.

Been saying it for a while now. 3 day 2 picks on RB, and only 2 OL in the first two days of the draft, and one is no longer on the roster.....

If you have no holes your RB doesn't matter, and your QB is on his back as well.

We needed to build around our $40 million/yr qb. To keep him healthy, at least. McBeane chose defense.

2021 was a swing and a miss but other than that, it's about what you'd expect.
Rousseau is what I thought he was. Not explosive and no twitch or violence in his rush.
Basham is, too. Overrated coming out and he's a fringe depth guy. Of course the year that they want to get a pass rusher, there are no legit pass rushers in the draft. So draft two and hope one pans out? Yuck. Then we did the same thing at OT. Yuck.
Oliver is the biggest disappointment to me. He's just a guy.

Remember when Beane drafted the punt god in the 6th round like it was a throwaway pick?

          Good times!

Beane needs to get away from whatever adrenaline high he gets when he sees 'measurables' and just draft football players.

When the starting 11 are healthy, Tremaine Edmunds is the weakest link on the defense. Oliver and Rousseau couldn't get pressure or stop the run against second stringers. If Brown isn't the worst starting offensive lineman on the team he's in the conversation.

Beane got lucky with Josh Allen but the rest of his freaks have been underwhelming, at best.

Thankfully, a lot of the guys in the front office have been shuffled around or out, I mean it's not all on Beane. He's ultimately the guy who pulls the trigger, but he depends on his subordinates, hopefully they get a better feel for the draft with some of the promotions they made. Hope for the best.
