If there’s any good news for the Buffalo Bills (https://www.buffalorumblings.com/) the day after their 2022 season ended, it’s that veteran safety Micah Hyde has been medically cleared to resume playing.

The Bills’ two-time, second team All-Pro safety met with media (https://twitter.com/BuffaloBills/status/1617548810418372608?s=20&t=DtrR-vdPjUqeUPu71sk9oQ) Monday morning as the team, and fans, try to work their way through the disappointment of falling 27-10 to the Cincinnati Bengals (https://www.cincyjungle.com/) in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs (https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-playoffs).

Had the Bills won, Hyde said that he would have been ready to play in next week’s AFC Championship Game (https://www.sbnation.com/afc-championship-game).

“I got cleared,” he announced. “Next game, I was going to be able to go out there and play.”

Really? There won't be another game for 8 months. If we were playing this week, this would be good news, but we aren't.

I for one I’m happy he was cleared and for his sake and only his sake we aren’t playing this week. I’m not sure exactly what his injury was but I have my C3, 4, and 5 fused in two separate surgeries and it took 8 months both time to be cleared for me to resume normal activities. Which is nothing compared to football. It took me a year or so after the second one that I wasn’t scared to death of hurting myself again.

Yeah it really sucks that he recovered from a major neck surgery. It's too bad he couldn't recover a week sooner.

What an ass you are.

Yeah, shame on me for wanting our players to be healthy for playoff games!

No, he’s calling you an ass because based on what you said, you don’t care that Hyde is healthy

just that he missed the game

It doesn't matter. He was going to be available to play next season no matter what. He was going to get medically cleared at some point. This isn't a Hamlin situation where no one knew if he would recover.

It was too late to help us this year and that's frustrating.
