Derrick Henry to the Bills for draft compensation. I saw it on another Bills message board, an image of a tweet from Adam Schefter. In essence, the Bills and Titans are in the process of finalizing the trade. The image I saw was not a link, so I couldn't do a copy and paste. This has been rumored for a few days now, and of course, Von Miller has been lobbying to make it happen.

Derrick Henry would be a massive upgrade, and give the Bills power running up the middle that they have lacked for a while now. The down side is that Henry is in the final year of a four year $40 million contract. It's quite possible they would only have him for one year.

Im starting to come around on this if

We sign taylor lewan next, then draft a MLB in round 1 (if we dont use this pick for henry)

This would shore up the must needed Allen power run and short yardage issues we have

I mean we could still fill holes, lewan may be more open to coming here with henry, we can still use bates at guard, hopefully find a gem later in the draft, and it would open up the passing game

I feel like 13 tds and 1500 yds would be beneficial

I like the idea of having more ball control and not having to wiry about short yardage

I like the idea of having more ball control and not having to wiry about short yardage

I feel like adding a 29 year old, $16 million dollar running back that needs the ball 25 times per game to be effective for one season when we are paying a QB, WR and TE $506 million dollars in contracts to pass the ball in an offense that throws 70%+ of the time is the definition of cap and roster mismanagement. Especially when we are already starting almost $17 million behind the salary cap 8-ball right out of the gate.
