Panthers trade up to first overall pick, Bears get two firsts, two seconds, D.J. Moore - ProFootballTalk (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/10/panthers-trade-up-to-first-overall-pick-bears-get-two-firsts-two-seconds-d-j-moore/)

The Bears are getting the No. 9 overall pick and No. 61 overall pick in this year’s draft from Carolina, as well as wide receiver D.J. Moore (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/1191/dj-moore), the Panthers’ 2024 first-round pick, and the Panthers’ 2025 second-round pick.

Obviously, the Panthers have their mind made up on one franchise quarterback in this year’s draft, and the only way to get that quarterback is to move up to No. 1.
It’s not clear right now who that quarterback is, but Alabama’s Bryce Young is widely regarded as the top pick in this year’s draft. Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, Florida’s Anthony Richardson and Kentucky’s Will Levis are all viewed as top prospects as well, but likely not quarterbacks the Panthers would move up to No. 1 for at this stage in the game.

Bears trading No. 1 overall pick to Panthers for WR DJ Moore, multiple picks (https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35830753/bears-trading-no-1-overall-pick-panthers-wr-dj-moore-multiple-picks)

I guess the Panthers are tired of not having a QB.

I’m going to say C.J. Stroud of Will Levis

I thought Levis looked pretty good!

I’m going to say C.J. Stroud of Will Lewis.

It's for sure they love somebody.

Reich’s offense is based more on a pocket passer.

Bears made out big. Good for them. Moore is a good WR.

Really nice trade for the Bears. I hope Poles turns the Bears around, he’s a good kid.

After reading a little more, it looks like the Panthers are high on Anthony Richardson.

Will Levis landing spots: Ranking best fits for one of 2023 NFL Draft's top QBs, including Panthers, Ravens (https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/will-levis-landing-spots-ranking-best-fits-for-one-of-2023-nfl-drafts-top-qbs-including-panthers-ravens/)

Although they could trade back a bit and still get Levis. He's 6' 3" and 222 lbs.

It will always piss me off how KC raped us to move up to 10 from 27.

That one will forever piss me off ....... not that we traded back but that we dropped back just too damn far for so very little in compensation.

4 or 5 spots ok but 17 was insane.

I read last night that the Panthers are now dangling that they are open to trading out of the 1st pick.

Bears shot their load to early. They could have gotten the same deal the day before the draft.

Maybe even a little more as teams got desperate. Now the Panthers control things.

Thinking the same thing pulled that trigger too soon..

They could have traded back several times with just minimal effort IMO.

They must have really coveted D.J. Moore.
