Case Keenum to sign with Texans - ProFootballTalk (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/13/case-keenum-to-sign-with-texans/)

Keenum, 35, spent last season with the Bills, backing up Josh Allen. he appeared in two games and threw just seven passes.
The quarterback started two games for the Browns in 2021, winning both.
Keenum’s most successful season was in 2017 when he took over as the starting quarterback for Sam Bradford and compiled an 11-3 record en route to a postseason appearance — and the Minneapolis Miracle postseason victory over the Saints.

Interesting. Likely a stop gap for 1 year, maybe half a year.

I could see the Bills going QB again in the draft if they think there is value. They did it with Fromm.

I agree.

I just hope they get one that plays the same style as Allen. Brissett or Mariota.

If they draft someone, at least they can mold that QB into what they want. Patriots did that for many years

Buffalo needs to stop trying to 'mold' players. Draft/sign a guy and let him play to his strengths.

Yeah....we kind of don't seem good at molding much of anyone at any position though.

They need players that fit their schemes. Thanks.

What's Peterman doing these days?

He should be ready to be an NFL #2 by now!

I mean....if we ever need a quarterback to throw a football through a basketball hoop......

He was backup for The Bears. I think he even started a game

This is a very smart move by Houston. Everyone knows they are going to draft a QB, Keenum is perfect to mentor whoever it is.

Brady missed most of one season in 2009 with injury. Other than that the guy was an ironman. There was no molding unless holding a clipboard is molding. That's what i want here. A backup that never ever sees the field.
