Pay close attention to one key stat about Williams, which Dunne mentions in the above tweet. That is, of course, those 17 rushing touchdowns. That’s an incredible number by a RB in the modern NFL. At the age of 27, Williams’ 2022 total was also more than Singletary has had on the ground in four seasons (16) with the Bills. Perhaps that’s due to the timeshare Singletary was thrust into, or his lack of ideal size for goal line work.

Considering those excuses, it should make the idea of Jamaal Williams even more enticing for general manager Brandon Beane. That’s because Williams was also part of a backfield platoon, and he thrived in goal-to-go situations for Detroit. Williams is 6’ and 224 pounds. He profiles as a running back the likes of which the Bills haven’t fielded since Karlos Williams or Willis McGahee.

He would definitely help are short yardage and goal line offense, which could take the ball out of Allen’s hands and save him some abuse.

I've heard that Williams pass protection is excellent. I know that gets overlooked with RBs, but it should add to his appeal.

Singletary, lost some goal line touches to Josh and like I said Williams should get those. This singing if the price is right would give us a nice RB stable, again if the price is right.

            3rd rounder? I’d do it.

I just saw that the Lions signed RB David Montgomery for 3 yrs/$18 mil. I'd say that makes it highly unlikely he's back with the Lions and even better chance he ends up with the Bills now.

Short yardage, the guy delivers. Moss failed in that roll. They want a RB of his ilk. Takes some short yard carries off of Allen.

He's going to want way too much money, IMO

There are lots of RB's still out there. A position I'm not worried about finding someone in the least.

Miles Sanders says goodbye to Philadelphia as Eagles sign Rashaad Penny - ProFootballTalk

When Miles Sanders saw the news that the Eagles are going to sign running back Rashaad Penny, he saw the writing on the wall.
Sanders, a running back who has played his entire four-year career in Philadelphia, knows that the Eagles adding Penny means they’re bringing him in to replace Sanders, who is now expecting to sign elsewhere in free agency.

The Bills should be interested in Williams. He seems like a perfect fit. Like kgun said...."He would definitely help are short yardage and goal line offense, which could take the ball out of Allen’s hands and save him some abuse.”

The biggest shortcoming last season was red zone offense, were Allen was forced to be Superman way too many times, and pressed so much, he made boneheaded mistakes.

It would be good to have a reliable short yardage bowling ball to get the tough yards.....or be a legit running threat to make play action extremely effective.

He could probably be had at a cap friendly price.
