Rams make release of Bobby Wagner official - ProFootballTalk (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/16/rams-make-release-of-bobby-wagner-official/)

Linebacker Bobby Wagner (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/11588/bobby-wagner) is officially on the open market.
The Rams officially released Wagner on Wednesday afternoon, making him a free agent. The two sides mutually agreed to part ways weeks ago, but Los Angeles did not send the transaction through until the start of the new league year.

If the only thing Beane does for the rest of free agency is sign Wagner, I'll be happy. He can then focus on drafting O-line early, and often

I agree.

I believe the chances of the Bills signing Wagner are less than 10%.

Especially after the re-signing of Jordan Poyer where a two year contract will eat cap space.

Not saying they should or not....just the reality of the situation.

Canadian'eh!

Pretty much anyone is better than Edmunds, but Wagner would be a DRASTIC improvement.

but Dallas and Seattle apparently want him badly. That’s gonna be tough to match.

Didn’t the Cowboys just resign Vander Esch?

In his one season for the Rams, Wagner played started all 17 games and played nearly every defensive snap for the club. He recorded 140 tackles, a career-high 6.0 sacks, two interceptions, and five passes defensed. Wagner was a second-team All-Pro.
Wagner, who turns 33 in June, has already received some interest from Cowboys (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/13/report-cowboys-have-contacted-bobby-wagner-2/) and the Seahawks (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/09/seahawks-open-communication-with-bobby-wagner-about-a-possible-return/).

Where's Von to shill for him coming here?

Will have to find another contract or 2 to redo, in order to create room for anyone now.

Beane said he has about 9 Mil left. From what I read, need around 4 Mil for the draft pool. A small buffer for PS promotions/signings during the season. That takes up the remaining 4-5 Mil left.

So they have to create more room. McKenzie is due a 250K roster bonus today. Could be cut. That would save 2.2 Mil on the cap. Then more after that if they want additional FA's.

Beane just blew how much on a midget WR?

We made a change and we moved on from McKenzie.

Small WR for much faster small WR.
