DeAndre Hopkins indicates willingness to play for Chiefs or Bills, not Jets or Patriots - ProFootballTalk (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/16/deandre-hopkins-indicates-willingness-to-play-for-chiefs-or-bills-not-jets-or-patriots/)

Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/8074/deandre-hopkins) remains a Cardinal, despite a lingering belief he’ll eventually be traded. It’s unclear when it will happen and where he will go.
He recently provided some unspoken clues as to four possible destinations.

No surprise. But joining the Chefs is like Kevin Durant joining the Warriors after they won the NBA Championship several times.

Here's the thing. Big time players like Deandre Hopkins always want two things. They want a big time contract and they want to play for a winner. It may be unrealistic to think they can get both. KC is currently about 3 million over the cap including the money they have to allot for their rookie draftees. Buffalo is currently about 12 million over. What kind of salary does Hopkins want to get paid? I'm guessing north of $20 million per year. In addition, Arizona probably would want minimum a second round draft pick for him. They might even want a first depending hon how long they think he'll be able to play. He'll be 31 in the 2023 season. The question is how much damage is a team willing to inflict on their future to bring a top notch receiver in who can make a difference for just a few years.

^To answer your question, when you’re a laughingstock franchise that has won jack****, you go all in for “just a few years.” I don’t give a damn about this team’s mediocre-looking future. If they were to get Hopkins they could win right now. Right now, we are barely clinging to Top 5 status in the AFC alone, and May drop out of it if no key FAs are signed or draft picks hit.

Not enough ego space in the locker room for 2 diva's.

Hopkins is a great talent but a locker room cancer. He doesn't like to practice and likes to play "street ball".

Who cares???

Of course Hopkins wants out of the dumpster fire franchise with a little boy at QB who is destined to be a huge long term bust.

Of course Hopkins wants to go to the two teams with the best QB’s in the NFL with realistic Super Bowl potential.

Of course there is a snow ball’s chance in hell that he gets on the Bills. UNLESS he takes about a 90% pay cut. :D:

Way too much would be needed to sign him. A team with a franchise QB contract get 1 top dollar WR. Or they are really skimping elsewhere. The team will have a small core followed by rookie deals going forward. Buy jerseys intelligently

“I talk to Hop all the time and it’s kind of like the same thing with OBJ,” Miller said, via the Buffalo News. “You just never know until you know. Hop said he wanted to be a Buffalo Bill (https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/deandre-hopkins-wants-to-be-a-buffalo-bill-von-miller-says-and-yes-he-knows/article_399e6fb8-de14-11ed-aa2d-13e0c078f34d.html?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter_TheBuffaloNews) and you never know until you get that DeAndre Hopkins signature on a contract. I’m not sure what the circumstances are or what’s going on with that but I would love to see DeAndre Hopkins be here and I would love to have his skill set on our offense with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/9728/stefon-diggs) and Dawson Knox (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/50082/dawson-knox) and Gabe Davis (https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/60126/gabe-davis).”
