This is something that I believe has been done a couple of times here in the recent past, but it's been a long-running annual thing elsewhere (from a member that goes by Joe Rockhead currently) so I'll just cut and paste his words...

This is the 21st year and there were only 2 winners over 20 years. Taron Johnson & Austin Proehl then Elam & Araiza last year

Name 2 players drafted by the Bills in the 2023 NFL draft. Please list only 2, 3 would be cheating.

Pragmatic draft.

1. WR Quenton Johnson, TCU

2. ILB Trenton Simpson, Clemson

I think the other two WRs will be gone by the time they pick, and for some unforseen reason, the Bills have always had a hard on for Clemson players.

I think they are worried about replacing Edmunds and consider that their biggest hole. So I expect a mild reach in the 1st round: Drew Sanders

I also think they are concerned about interior OL: Steve Avila (with the obligatory trade up of course)

Like Avila pick!

O'Cyrus Torrence
Jack Campbell - maybe w/trade-up in round 2.

This would be a great draft. Get Beas for a final season to mentor Shakir at WR #3 and get a few big-bodied WRs/TEs in UDFA and we could be set.

I picked Cook and Jalen Wydermyer last year. Although Jalen wasn't drafted.

Wasn't he the TE that the Bills signed as an UDFA then they cut?

To me, a big part of the Bills 2023 draft is the Bills 2022 draft. None of those players have fully "broken out." There is some potential there, but it's hard to know what any of those players will become. Solid starters or benchwarmers? For instance, do the Bills draft a CB somewhere? Or are White, Jackson, Elam, Benford & Johnson it?

sukie

CB not as important if you have a (cough) pass rush.

Had a dream last night

Houston drafted Will Levis at 2

Seattle traded up and got a S and LB

Bills drafted a center with their first pick

just wanted to put it out there before the draft

Will anderson and jalen carter fell out of the top 10

Actually thinking back on it, arizona kept their pick and got jalen carter because i remember the whole off the field and arizona keeping their pick being a surprise

Seattle ended up having the 9th and 10th pick somehow and went DB/S and LB, Hooker was the 3rd QB taken and Robinson i believe went to NE

My prediction on one player the Bills will not draft and another on timing for a position.

1. Will not draft Jack Campbell
2. No LB until the third round or probably later.

PS I do think Dhop gets done. Bills want to see who drops before pulling trigger.

Bills Trade #1 pick + Ed Oliver plus next years 4th.
AZ Trades #34 + D hop and this years #5

We dump salary. They rework hope to be a 4.3 mill cap hit. We use there 5th for d-line rotational depth.

I would have said Campbell. I wasn't surprised he went in the 1st, but 18 was way too high. The Lions reached for players they could have easily taken 10 spots later.

I’m happy these came true.

Detroit made the worst reach in the 1st round by stupidly picking Campbell at #18. As compared to his overall rank by Scouts Inc, it was a reach of 40. As in Jack Campbell was ranked #58 overall.

Disagree. They saw a player that filled a specific need and they went and got him. The Bills fans live in a bubble. Do you honestly think it was only the Buffalo media that was pimping Campbell to their team? Half the league's media was doing that. The Lions are a team on the move and this was a good pick for them, not a reach. He'll anchor the middle there for years to come. They are building a good defense there, not a cover zero, pussy defense like the Bills have.

Every team rates players and creates a board on their own. And they usually are not close to the media mindmeld board.

I agree Detroit made the worst reach in the first round

But not with Campbell - he was the second worst reach!

Taking Gibbs was worse.

Congrats Detroit. The two biggest reaches in that round!
