I think many will be disappointed tonight. Good chance the Bills trade down and get who they want tomorrow instead of reaching tonight.

An article I just read says, based on the past few years, pick 27 should fall between 11:00-11:30.

How many running backs will go tonight?
How many running backs will go tonight? - ProFootballTalk (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/27/how-many-running-backs-will-go-tonight/)

This year, the over-under is 1.5, and the thinking is that both Texas running back Bijan Robinson and Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs will be selected.
Robinson seems to be on track for the top 10, given that he’s regarded as one of the most talented players in the draft.
The question becomes two-fold. First, can other running backs be gotten in later rounds who are nearly as good? Second, and more importantly, is a team that takes a running back in round one — and particularly in the top 10 — comfortable with the injury risk inherent to the position.
For Robinson, who could see plenty of time in the slot, the risk could be a little lower. But the risk will still be there.

Not just future rookies to keep an eye on today.

D Hopkins and L Jackson may make some news today too.
There's definitely a lot of smoke around Hopkins to Buffalo. How much is it just him hoping that happen? I have no idea.

But, remember when we struggled to convince guys to even come here? FA's weren't really interested. It's great to have a guy like Josh Allen that players WANT to play with.
I do hope they work something out reasonable got Hopkins. I think he has a couple years left of being a great #2 WR, but i wouldn't up a lot to get him.

Maybe others know but who is left that ould help with cap space ? Seems the Bills already used all the heavy hitters.

Plus Arizona would have to offer to pay at least half to purge him. No one is giving up 19+ Mil in cap space.

Having said that, I'll wait until the last pick to react to the draft. They did a ton in FA to maintain and improve. Far more than I expected.

Potential Cardinals, Titans deal for No. 3 overall pick could include DeAndre Hopkins (https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/27/potential-cardinals-titans-deal-for-no-3-overall-pick-could-include-deandre-hopkins/)

They arent in position to develop a QB. Goff is good enough to make the playoffs with the supporting cast they built around him. I like what they are doing, they are building a good foundation. This QB class isnt amazing, ride it out with goff, the playoffs are a big deal for them right now, and worry about that in the future. Levis wouldnt make them get to the playoffs which is their ultimate goal right now

I was ok with the idea of another TE. We have no one behind Knox and I'd like to see more 12 personnel, but I was a lot more intrigued with Washington of UGA. I'm also super high on Nolan Smith and can't believe we passed on him.

Mr. Pink

I get why we traded up if Kincaid was their guy as Dallas needs a TE and it was 50-50 if they'd take Kincaid or Mayer.

Problem is, we just used a first round pick with a trade up for a guy who might get 30 targets all season and all his targets will do is take away targets from a guy we just gave 52m to at the position.

And he's another guy who made his draft stock off of one big game.

Not even the best TE in the class.

seemed like he was routinely rated the best TE in the class

honestly, I’d rather have the #1TE in a historically good TE class than the 4th WR in a bad WR class. To me it all comes down to how we use him. If he’s a glorified slot receiver, I like it. I’d rather roll the dice on him than on Downs/Hyatt/Dell/Mims. If he’s going to be a 2nd TE in 12 personnel sets and is on the field 30% of the time, it’s a total luxury pick.

You know how sometimes teams don't draft the best player on the board even though they say they will, well the Bills actually drafted the best player on the board bar none.

This kid is good, I don't know how they'll work him and Knox in the O, I'm sure one will be flexed in slot, I don't really care, it's up to the coaches to figure out, I just hope they go with the best guy and don't try to force one or the other because of money or draft capital spent. Wait. Didn’t you have the Bills picking a TE in your mock draft?!?!? Of course you did. Darnell Washington (http://www.billszone.com/fanzone/showthread.php/263033-DB-s-First-and-Final-2023-Mock-Draft?p=5018353&viewfull=1#post5018353). Kincaid is better than Washington.

Some have him the #1 TE in this draft.

With the four WR’s that fit the best with the Bills that were worth a first round pick gone, this makes sense. WAY better than another defensive player.

I’m happy they went for an offense weapon. That’s what I’ve been preaching all off season.

The Bills still need to pick a WR. Maybe Josh Downs in round 2? Nathaniel Dell???
