Bill Belichick is an overrated piece of garbage.

He's one of the better game-planners out there.

Look at the Pats roster when they won the SB in 2001.

Looks at the teams they beat.

THEY HAD BOBBY HAMILTON, A ROOKIE, AND CHAD EATON AS THE DT's!

They had a bunch of noname guys at LB.

They had Law, Milloy, and..........well that was about it.

The offense had a benchwarmer Troy Brown, a career backup in A-Smith, a rookie in Tom Brady, and a rookie at LT with two undrafted FA's on the O-Line.

They turned out to be the 6th highest scoring team, and allowed the 6th fewest points.

The Bills team now was twice as good at that team was.

Well......not that much better :)

He sucks. They got lucky going to the super bowl. They've been all about luck.

Just because our coaches have sucked doesn't mean he's a genius.

Hey, remember his glory days with the brownies? Talk about a great team!

They got lucky and should have lost against the raiders. I don't see how that makes him a great coach. :idunno:

We'll see on Sunday- Showtime!! He has us until we beat them on Sunday. And there's no reason we shouldn't do it. We have a darn good team going out on that field.

you fishing now

He beat the Steeler who had the top rushing attack, run defense, a Pro-Bowl QB(ok ok :) ). with Hines and Plaz at WR. AT PITTSBURG mind you.

He beat the ST. F#CKING LEWIS RAMS ON TURF. Yes, those 14-2 Rams. The same Rams that were 14 points away from a perfect season. The 1 passing attack, the number 1 offense, and the 3rd ranked defense.

Raider game........ya, you could call that luck. Belichick did say he had to throw out 1/3 of the gameplan because of the snow. And that was more of a Brady, Viniteiri game.

I mean, they did go 11-5. Something the 85% of the teams in the AFC have not matched.

Your fishing, you can say what you want, but considering the talent the Pats have had on thier roster the past couple of year.........

He doesn't suck, but he gets WAY too much credit. His teams in C-town were terrible.

I agree. On the field, he's a great coach. Some of his personnel decisions are questionable.

Why didn't they make the playoffs last year? Seems to me they had much more talent and experience than the super bowl year.

Yes, GW sucks too. I hope we can overcome it this year.

EE, I could have coached the Pats over to wins over us 2 years ago! We sucked. AND WE ALMOST BEAT THEM. But as we all know now, an unconscious player who is touching out of bounds with his helmet and has the ball resting against his foot has possession.

The Pats were awful last year. I think they beat one team over .500!

Patrick76777

Yeah, I wanted the pats to beat the Raiders but that was also a BS call. And truth be told, if either of those calls go the other way, the Pats don’t even get to the SB.

lordofgun
09-04-2003, 09:20 AM
Many years, a lesser team will make a run during the season. That year, the pats just got lucky enough to go all the way.

I did like their game-plan against the Rams in the SB, though. But I think that was a case of the Rams thinking it would be a cakewalk and not being prepared.

Patrick76777
09-04-2003, 09:23 AM
The gameplan was great. But I came up with the same idea prior to the game. I thought the Pats would have a chance if they went after the Rams WR’s, ala the Giants in 1990. Make them fear catching the ball.

If I could do it, anybody can.

No it’s true, I know a lot about football, but I’m not one of those fans who analyzes or (thinks they can analyze) Blocking schemes for the right offensive Guard!

That’s just annoying.
