After the NFL Draft, Bills GM Brandon Beane discussed not getting a defensive tackle - Buffalo Rumblings (https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2023/4/30/23705606/buffalo-bills-gm-brandon-beane-recognizes-dt-need-post-nfl-draft-2023-presser-ed-oliver-free-agency)

Before the 2023 NFL Draft (https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-draft) even concluded, Buffalo Bills (https://www.buffalorumblings.com/) general manager Brandon Beane and his staff were working the phones trying to find some free agents to fill perceived gaps in the team’s roster.
“When I realized it wasn’t going to fall our way to get a D-Tackle, that’s when we started calling some agents, getting back in touch with some guys,” Beane said that the team had talked to some veteran players before the draft, but had made the decision to hold off until the first of May. “I think this week we will have the chance to add at least one veteran. We talked to a couple.”
In his post-draft press conference (https://twitter.com/BuffaloBills/status/1652456138758328321?s=20), Beane admitted that he had hoped to add a defensive tackle to the roster through the draft but he was determined to stay disciplined and stick to the team’s draft board and choose the best-available-player rather than get antsy.

We could have stayed put at 137 and taken Jaquelin Roy instead of trading down and picking a long shot WR. He would have been worth it there.
