When Eric Moulds’ name is brought up, most within Bills Mafia immediately light up thinking back to the wide receiver’s incredible career playing for the Bills. Now second all time in receptions and receiving yards with the Bills, Moulds was one of the NFL’s most imposing and dominant receivers of his era. Taken with pick 24 in Round 1 of the 1996 NFL Draft (https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-draft), the gifted receiver out of Mississippi State (https://www.forwhomthecowbelltolls.com/) played a decade for Buffalo, including three playoff appearances.

During the 1998 NFL playoffs (https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-playoffs), Moulds set the NFL record for most receiving yards in a playoff game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3C8hLa6i0I) on the road against the Miami Dolphins (https://www.thephinsider.com/). Moulds and quarterback Doug Flutie connected nine times for 240 yards and a touchdown in South Beach — a playoff record that stands to this day.

During Bob Chandler’s nine-year career with the Bills (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N76uedOz62M), he made 295 receptions for 3,999 yards, with 34 touchdowns — which still ranks Chandler top-ten all-time in both receptions and receiving yards with Buffalo. Chandler was a decorated multi-sport high school and collegiate athlete — one of the nation’s top high school decathletes and an All-CIF recipient in both football and basketball during college.

Chandler’ professional breakout came in his fifth NFL season. Between 1975 and 1977, he led the NFL in receptions, catching 176 passes (for 2,315 yards and 20 touchdowns). Additionally, Chandler was a two-time Second-Team All-Pro during the ‘75 and ‘77 seasons.

Both very worthy. Imagine Moulds on this team with Diggs and Allen.

Chandler was fun to watch, in an era that was mostly dismal for Bills fans.

I'm thrilled to say that I actually met he and his wife in 1979.

Chandler is one of my all-time favorites. Probably worthy of the YardRat Wall of Fame.

Moulds ended career with 9995 yards… couldn’t some have dialed up a quick slant?

You're reading too much into what he said.
What he meant was Josh is a top 10 qb on the current bills team right now.

Moulds is an all time fav for me. Dude would of been in canton had he played with a franchise quarterback.

I’ve made this same point many times. Moulds could have been one of the best ever if he had decent QB play. IIRC, he had one head of Kelly when Kelly was way past his prime, and he was here for that one amazing year Bledsoe had with us, but for the rear of his career, his QB’s were garbage. And he still put up great numbers.

And FWIW, there is a Bills Backers group at the Anchor Bar in Frederick, MD, which is about an hour west of where we live (and where my wife’s twin sister lives). For the BZ OG’s, a poster named Dozerdog helps run it. On Halloween 2021- the day we played the Fish and barely won- they got Moulds to come to Anchor Bar for the game. I went out there for the game and met Moulds. He was super cool. I got an autograph and a picture with him.

Absolutely no doubt about it.
