What are all these predictions with the Pats above the Fins? They just debilitated their team by letting Milloy go. I can understand your "homerism" in putting the Bills first but come on, do you really hate us that much that you can't be objective?

I put the pats at 6-10.

And I would have picked the fins to finish first, except for the 4 guaranteed December losses and all. :D

I know you did but 7 out of 11 posts have the Fins finishing behind the Pats.... WOW.

I know! The Pats suck and their coach is an ovverrated piece of garbage!

Of course, your coach is worse than GW. :D

I don't know about that... our coach has NEVER gone 3-13.

Your coach has had MUCH better talent to work with...until this year.

How's it feel to have the 2nd best secondary in the division?

When you guys have PRO BOWLERS for all your starting DB's positions and then have another one coming off the bench, then you might be able to say you have a better Backfield than us.

Don't believe me, check out Milloys number of INT's and Fumbles Forced last year.... one big goose egg!!

Speaking of goose eggs....look at the number of wins you had against us last year. ;)

jaja54, I like the Pats chances better than the Fins as well. I just don't feel the Fins have a very complete team. If Rickey went down, the Dolphins would be one of the weaker teams in the league.

Miami's QB and WRs leave a lot to be desireed and your defense has gotten slower. Pretty much no one on the defense is on the upside of there career. Thomas took a step back last year and JS is washed up. Sorry. With the exception of Surtain and Taylor, I think everyone on the D is either overrated or slowing down. Just my opinion.

Although the Bills - Pats makes for a great opener, I would be much more confident if we were playing the fins

A. Any team that loses their TOP player would definitely become weaker, so you can't base a weakness on a supposed injury. He's healthy now and was able to remain that way all last year.
No reason to think he won't this year.

B. Zach had more tackles last year than any other year in his career. I can't see how that's a step back.

C. the getting slower thing... true we signed 2 starters in Jr and Knight that are slower than the players they replaced. But they bring in something that can't be measured... heart and play making skills. They both make up their lack of speed with knowledge and preparation. Both of them made more BIG plays last year than either of the guys they replaced.

You guys just signed Milloy and the talk was how NE lost a leader on the defense. Well that's what these two guys bring. Hopefully that leadership will get us through those December debacles we've been having since Shula's last year.

I would definitely be more confident in playing NE then the FINS, in that they have NO running game and just downgraded their defense a couple of notches (Milloy). I guess the fact that you weren't able to beat them last year gives you those concerns. But i tell you, you guys should beat them by more than a TD on Sunday.

how long have we been hearing that, and it's still come to anything, ask Clump, we're in better position than you think, go back and check the numbers. Anyway this is about predictions.

While I'm on a Bills board, I respect your choice of the Bills 1st.
One poster said if Ricky goes down, we're through, that's the same as saying if Drew goes down, but I actually think you would do better with AVB..The player you guys don't know is Lenard Henrys, I actually think we won't lose a beat. That's just my opinion, he beat out Edwards and you guys know Edwards. While someone said our D got slower, may I remind you, so did your O. And our D is just as talented as any D in the AFCE and maybe better. But all this has to be proved on the field.

so with that:

Miami 11-5
Pats 10-6
Bills 9-7
NY 8-8

I didn't even realize until the last post that these were predictions from a couple of years ago. I was surprised at how high a lot of people had Miami at. You are right Dozer, predictions were way off.

Hey, I went way out on a limb and said the Pats would be better than the Dolphins. This year I'm going to go waaaay out on a limb and say the Pats, Bills and Jets will be better than the fins, Samphin.
