Bills promote Eric Washington to assistant head coach

Bills promote Eric Washington to assistant head coach - ProFootballTalk

Eric Washington will have a new title on the Bills coaching staff this season.
The team announced on Wednesday that Washington has been bumped up to assistant head coach. He will remain the team’s defensive line coach as well.

Former President Donald Trump early Thursday touted the results of a new NPR/PBSNewsHour/Marist poll showing him ahead of President Joe Biden by 8 percentage points among independents.

Washington joined the Bills in 2020 as the defensive line coach and added a senior defensive assistant title last year.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott will be handling defensive coordinator duties in Buffalo this year and Washington’s new title suggests he’ll have a role in helping McDermott balance all of his responsibilities.

He should be getting another shot at a DC job as soon as next year. Maybe it's here.

Silly goose. Frazier is coming back from his self sabbatical.

An admission by McDermott that he cannot do the job of head coach and defensive coordinator at the same time, without help.

It’s was starting to look more likely that McDermott is going to screw up one of the jobs. This is a smart move that makes that less likely.

So when Frazier comes back the Assistant HU title is already taken away by another defensive guy, eh?

It’s pretty easy and clear to opine that Frazier is not coming back to the Bills. I don’t think he even suggested it. In fact almost all of the reporting at the time was that it was “unclear” if there would be a return to the Bills.

All of the accurate reporting (and what he, himself said) was that his plan was to “return to coaching in 2024”, with his ultimate goal to be head coach.

What’s interesting is the reaction around the league when Frazier did announce his stepping down...opposite of what some whiney Bills “fans” have to say...

Eric Washington has some big shoes to fill.

Holy crap dude, regurgitate much? You just posted multiple links that all say exactly what the Bills put out in their statement when Frazier was fired, or when he quit. Who’s disputing what the initial statement said? No one. It’s just that though…doesn’t mean the team doesn’t lie or bend the truth. And if your boy wanted to really take a year off, he wouldn’t have spoken with other teams about opportunities. You’re a ****ing head case.

What claptrap. Frazier was NOT “fired” and you continually ignoring ALL the facts and evidence to spew such garbage (as I have said)....

Make no mistake...the whole idea that Frazier was “fired” and did not do exactly what he (and the team) said he did and why, is an effort to smear and denigrate Frazier.

When he did, in fact, take a leave from coaching for one year, that ruins the false narrative of the cynics (that he sucked and deserved to be fired)...so they fight back with even more false narratives that are not based on any facts or evidence but conjured up in their own minds to rationalize their inaccurate narrative.

The vitriol in lamely trying to crap on Farzier, unfairly and with no reason, proves my point.

And no, what I posted does NOT
all say "exactly what the Bills put out in their statement”....I posted them to show the opinion of professional football experts, that, as usual, refute the crap that comes from a certain segment of supposed Bills “fans”...

                        “A major loss”

                        "Universal-respected Bills DC Leslie Frazier”

“...on of the men I respect most in the coaching business...”

“...not good news for the Bills”

"Beane also said it is in the early stages on if head coach Sean McDermott ends up as the defensive play caller”

                        A
LL directly REFUTE the total crap that has been spewed here by the usual suspects (who regularly sound like and have the mindset of our rival’s fanbase)

The ones that want to smear so many people that have great integrity calling them liars.

The whining sure looks like projection.
