        I was at that game and remember it .... Cribbs is one of are better runningbacks who's name isn't brought up very much.... Jim Hasslett was a beast and little lou Piccone who was listed at 5'9 but was around 5' 4.....

        thanks I enjoyed it again....

          I was in the stands. 18 rows up at the 40. When Leaks scored, the sound barrier was broke. Then it happened again when the seconds ticked off at the end. It was glorious.

          i can still hear Bob Kunchenburg saying the loss was one of the lowest points of his football career, since the Bills stunk. The Bills wound up winning 11 games that year. I always smiled when the HOF passed him over. Screw him. Karma.

            My ticket says B1, row 3.

            I remember everyone pouring out onto the field after the final gun to tear the goalposts down.

            We watched for about five minutes then beat it as we had tickets for the Bob Seger concert at the Aud later in the evening.

            Probably my proudest moment as a Bills fan.

              My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.

                I was there, in the upper deck. A local tavern took a busload to the game and had end zone seats. A friend of mine that went with that crew was the first one up the goal post. I was at the game the prior year also, when Dempsey missed a FG that would have ended the streak a season earlier.

                  Still one of my all time favorite Bills teams.

                  Besides ending the streak, they beat:

                  -the defending SB champions, the Steelers;
                  -the defending SB runners up, the Rams;
                  -the eventual SB champions the Raiders;
                  -and the Chargers.

                  Joe Cribbs was Thurman Lite, before there was a Thurman
                  Conrad Dobler helped solidify the Oline, getting guys like Ken Jones and Joe Devlin to believe in themselves. Fergie was sacked something like 16 times that year.
                  And of course, their defense was the best in the league.

                  Though they can't claim to be the team that brought the shotgun back in the league, they might be credited with making it popular. Before 1980, on Dallas used it..and used it for a few years. But after the BIlls started using it that year, and led the league in 3rd down %, everyone started using it.

                  Before Wide Right or the Music City Miracle, there was the Bill Simpson slip against the Chargers in the playoffs. the play before that, Charles Romes dropped an INT that would have won the game.

                  What could have been. What should have been.

                    Damn. A lot of old timers here. I know breaking the steak against the Fish was a seminal moment in franchise history, but I was a year and a half old at the time.

                      I was in an end zone seat. What a freakin game.

                      Fandemonium!!!!

                      Tearing down the goalposts and handing one of the uprights up to Wilson’s box was pure Buffalo Mafia (before they were called “Bills Mafia”).
