    53 Prediction

This takes into account that Von does not get placed on PUP.

Here's what I think our best 53 looks like:

2 QB: Allen, Allen (Barkley injury starts him on PS)
4 RB: Cook, Harris, Murray, Gilliam
7 WR: Diggs, Davis, Harty, Sherfield, Shakir, Shorter, Isabella
    3 TE: Knox, Kincaid, Morris
8 OL: Dawkins, Mcgovern, Morse, Torrence, Brown, Edwards, Van Demark, Anderson

6 DE: Miller, Rousseu, Basham, Epenesa, Floyd, Lawson
5 DT: Oliver, Jones, Ford, Settle, Phillips
5 LB: Milano, Bernard, Dodson, Klein, Williams
5 CB: White, Johnson, Jackson, Benford, Elam
5 S: Poyer, Hyde, Rapp, Hamlin, Lewis

    K: Bass
    P: Martin
    LS: Ferguson

Notable cuts - Matakevich & Neal (ST rule changes makes them more expendable)

This of course doesn't include any trades/claims that could/will be made.

    Re: 53 Prediction

You forgot Bates, who will make it 9 OL, and I think they (they said they'll) keep 6 WRs (I think Shorter goes to PS). On defense, they're not dumping Neal and he probably makes it over (and I hate to say this) Hamlin.

You're right, I did forget Bates, he'll obviously make the team.

That will leave off Isabella most likely. Shorter will get claimed they can't cut him.

        Re: 53 Prediction

I think that they will initially keep only 5 defensive ends with Miller on PUP.

        QB 2 Allen x 2
RB 4 Cook, Harris, Murray Gilliam
        TE 3 Kincaid, Knox, Morris
OL 9 Dawkins, Mcgovern, Morse, Torrence, Brown, Edwards, Van Demark, Anderson, Bates
WR 6 Diggs, Davis, Harty, Sherfield, Shakir, Shorter

DE 5 Miller, Rousseu, Epenesa, Floyd, Basham
        DT 5
        Oliver, Jones, Ford, Settle, Phillips
        LB 5
Milano, Bernard, Dodson, Klein, Williams (Spector to IR)
        CB 7
White, Johnson, Jackson, Benford, Elam, Lewis, Neal
S 4 Poyer, Hyde, Rapp, Hamlin

        ST
        3 Bass, Martin, Ferguson

          I don't see Shorter making any team's 53. He's done little as a WR and ST'er.

I think Epenesa or Basham get traded. Neal probably makes #6 corner.

                  Connor McGovern Siran Neal
                  O'Cyrus Torrence Chistian Benford
                  David Edwards S-5 Micah Hyde
                  Alec Anderson Jordon Poyer
                  Ryan Van Demark Taylor Rapp
                  Damar Hamlin
                  Cam Lewis
                  K Tyler Bass
                  P Sam Martin
                  LS Reid Ferguson

New players are highlighted in red. That’s 14 new faces, or 26% turnover. Still won’t be enough to satisfy the “change for change sake” guys.

Von Miller starts the year on Reserve/PUP. If he is ready after four games, they deal with making room. Possibly releasing Lawson and bringing him back on PS.

Baylon Spector starts year on IR.

Too many scenarios to guess who goes on PS, and/or who might be brought in after all the cuts are made league wide. This is the first year there is only one cut day from 90 to 53. Should be a free-for-all come late Tuesday.

Shakiest spot on the team is Kyle Allen. Picking up Case Keenum is looking smarter and smarter. He would make a perfect backup for Josh. If needed, he will not be overcome by the glare of the spotlight. Been there, done that.

They won't. When Miller comes off the PUP they'll cut one of them.
