There's a new women's pro hockey league

And this time, it seems to have some serious money and organization behind it.

The Professional Women's Hockey League will debut in January 2024 with 6 teams: Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto in Canada and Boston, Minnesota and New York in the United States. Buffalo and Connecticut, who were members of the PWHL's predecesors(NWHL and PHF)did not make the cut.

Good luck with that. They struggle to sell men’s hockey in the US.

I’ll go to a game if I find myself in one of those cities during the season.

Niagara U had a D1 female hockey team when I was there. I never went to a game even though the arena was right on campus. I regret that now.
